BLT incentives

If anyone could tell me what are the incentives for BLT a friend of mine just told me his wife just bought BLT 200 points from DVC and only paid $63 a point, he belives it I dont,I think its just a line cant belive disney would lose that much money

I'm not sure if the incentives changed in January. But in Dec., we were offered $13 off a min. 100 point contract. Cost per point before the incentive was $130

Maybe they are trying to factor in the "free" 2010 points they give out with new contracts?

$117 per point is the best price that we were quoited.

I'm certain Disney would not give that deep of a discount on a direct purchase. I can't even see Disney allowing that low of a BLT price to make it through ROFR on a resale... though a lot of surprising transactions have made it through recently. I think I'd be asking to review the contract if I were him! I've heard of "fudging" between husband and wife for what was truly spent on things, but I suspect that's a pretty HUGE piece of fudge there!!!

Whats the CM discount - would it get closer to that number?? I cant imagine that being the number...

The CM discount used to be another $10 - $15 per point. No way it got down to $63.

Well, if the transaction has already closed, the husband could also view the consideration amount (purchase price) by pulling up his wife's name at the Orange County Comptroller's site.

Count me in on the "Don't believe it" bandwagon. $63 pp is crazy-low for BLT; can't imagine it happening direct EVER!

I am curious to hear if there is more to this story; perhaps the price really was $126 and it got divided in half as a PP hypothesized?

You can make numbers do anything that you want them to...

I always "round" numbers for my wife when it comes to money and pretty sure she does the same for me...

It might be that the person bought points, paid some cash down on the contract and financed the rest of the contract ($63 per point)

or

They bought SSR resale and paid $63 per point, but have a reservation for BLT...

We purchased direct last September and paid $120pp. I don't think there were many incentives at the time of purchase. We bought in at the minimum required points of 160. I wasn't aware of the resale concept at that time otherwise we might have tried to buy in through the resale concept just to get our feet wet. We're not disappointed by any stretch, but just wish we would've done more research. But to pile on top of the nay-sayers, I don't think $63pp is possible in a resort like BLT when it's as new as it is. That'd be quite a hit Disney would take.

No way. Direct or resale. Lowest resale prices I've seen are $92. I agree with maybe financed $63/pt?

That seems more likely.

Or bought a 2042 OKW contract resale...
