DVCnews.com usually has the current incentives. They aren't really offering a lot of incentive for BLT these days. The base price has gone up and the incentive is small.

Have you considered AKVs? Smaller base price. Great incentive with the free APs. More opportunity to buy resale if the incentives aren't of interest to you.

I'm not sure if you are interested in add ons or a new purchase. The DVC News still shows the starting price for add ons as $112 per point less incentives. I thought that effective with November 1st add ons were going up to $120. I'm pretty sure that was the announcement back in August.

Has anyone checked with a guide to see what the current rates are at BLT?

Just spoke to our guide, Ron and he said the BLT add on went up to $120 per point effective with November 1. There's a $5 discount for 50 pts. I forgot to ask if the there is a higher discount for points of 160 or more.

If you're still looking to buy BLT, it might be worthwhile to sign up for the web cast (early December). There are rumors some good incentives will be offered.

Keep in mind, this is just a rumor.

We just bought into DVC a week ago today (AKV). I have to say that the BLT model was FAR nicer in person than it showed in pictures. I was not thrilled about the pix but seeing the model made me think.... HMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I LOVE THIS! Actually, I liked it best but DH was still set on AKV and I liked it there too anyway. BUt the BLT rooms were SO nice!!!!! Had to say that.

I don't want to get your hopes up too much. At this point, I think every claim about the webcast is strictly a rumor.

I've read one post where someone claimed their guide told them to hang onto their BLT contract until the webcast.

My guide said they are only told the day of the webcast what the incentives will be.
It makes sense since it only takes one guide who can't keep a secret to get them into trouble.
If they don't know they don't have to lie about not knowing and they won't slip up.
We're adding on to GCV so I signed up and am hoping for something better then they have now.

It's not a rumor it says so on the email. As to how much incentive, nobody knows.

hey surprised at resale - they want $109 plus the points won't start until 2012.....

last time I looked it was 2009 - so to me DVC is still a bargin.

even at $112- at least you get points for 2009, 2010 & 2011 for the extra money

$112 = but you must buy at least 160 o/w 50 point = $115.

I would bet by June 2010, that another price increase hits BLT too
