BLT in December

BLT is not our home resort, but we would love to book a 2BR for 4 nights for next December. For those of you who searched BLT for the first two weeks of December for this year, did you find availability? Room view does not matter to us. I know anything is possible, but is getting a BLT 2 bedroom in early December unheard of?

it's unlikely. early dec is THE busiest time for DVC bookings.

a lake view villa is your best shot and you'd need to be online at exactly 8am.

2 years ago I checked for a room for any 2 nights during the first 2 weeks of Dec and was shut out at 9 months- since I didn't really have any specific travel plans I did not waitlist but that just shows you what availability is like there during that time. I was looking for either a studio or a 1 bedroom but neither was available.

First two weeks of Dec are, respectively, the first and third highest DVC demand weeks of the year (Christmas week is only second). BLT and any near park resort is near impossible to get 7 months out that time of year except possibly if you are looking for only a stray night or two. Now if you could wait until the third week of Dec, a more moderate demand week but higher points than first two weeks, you are likely to find lake view 7 months out.

This year lake view was booked for the third week - I had to wait until the 7 month window as I needed to buy some one time points but there was no availibity when MS opened. It's ok as we had standard booked from the 11 month mark just we prefer LV. More a data point for the OP.
