If you're staying in a LV GV, does the 2nd floor hallway bring you to the Lounge/Balcony area? TIA!:thumbsup2

*******EXTENDED QUESTION ON POST #4*******

Just to add to this...from the pictures it looks as tho if ur staying in a LV GV you can access the Lounge from ur second floor exit door.....but what about the MK GV's? Do u have to take the elevator up or are there stairs that stay unlocked so u have access all the time too??

have not seem a GV mk view - but think it also has a door on the second floor to allow you access to the lounge.

the elevators run all the time - but you might have to go to the first floor to get access to the lounge - if there is not a door.

Thx Spiceycat.....I sent a couple of PM's to some Dis folks who have stayed in a MK GV.....so I hope to have some answers! ;)

Yup...that's exactly right. And the LV GV's are on the 15th and 16th floors. If you come out of the 2nd floor exit in those GV's, it will take you out to a hallway which cascades up to the TOWL/observation deck. BUT, when you stay in a MK GV, you are on the floor below the TOWL.
So....if you're staying in a LV GV you have automatic access to the top floor observation deck/TOWL. If you're in a MK GV....you have to go down to the first floor to check in....unless someone who has stayed in a MK GV can say otherwise??
We really want to stay in a MK GV...but if we don't have access to the observation deck then we will likely save the points and stay in a LV GV.

I know the lounge opens at 5 pm but can you still go to the deck at any hour if your in a GVLV before it opens or are the doors locked to the deck or are the doors locked to just the bar area??

That's a good question!! My understanding is that you indeed have access to the balcony....but that the Lounge doors are locked before 5PM. Not sure tho....hopefully someone comes along with a definitive answer!!

Thank you Mrs B! It would be a wonderful perk to go out to the observation deck before anybody else staying below the GV rooms. It seems too good to be true though. I would love to go up there in the morning with a cup of coffee or anytime really! We need an answer to our question!!!!

Yes! Yes!!! Agreed!!:thumbsup2 I cant' wait!!! I thought I had read a few months back about someone commenting on how wonderful it was watching the sunrise from up there....they were staying on the top floor too!! :cool1: Are you not beside yourself knowing you'll be staying in those GV's???? I am happy to hear you scored a GV.....did you get it at 11 months or at 7 months? Since you'll be there before me, I hope you have good news when you get back! :woohoo: LOL!! Hopefully, in the meantime someone will pipe in!!

I am still torn whether or not we should go for the MKV!! I would LOVE to, but this "loft floor exit door" perk is fantastic and I definitely don't want to miss out on that!! LOL!! I have two more weeks to decide (will be at 7 months)....and it will save BIG TIME on points if we go with the LV (which as of today BOTH views are avail)...woot woot!!:cheer2:

I will finally be able to BREATH as soon as it's booked...ummm...well not really....then we need to start making reservations, book the limo, order the groceries, etc....heehee!! :rotfl:Soooooo excited!!

The doors to the viewing area are kept locked. They open at 5. They have another set of doors on the lounge.

the LV GV view is absolutely amazing anytime of day from any of the balconies of your GV. we had one last year and it was wonderful. as much as we loved the lounge we enjoyed our balconies day or night. and you WILL have a great view of Wishes too! :cloud9:

Yes I/we are beside ourselves knowing we are in that GV!!! We booked it exactly at 11 months and we wanted the the Lake View. I did not know about the access to the lounge from the second floor. That is a wonderful option even if we can only go after 5pm. I would not want a MK view just for the points, plus all you have to do is walk out the second floor door to see the fireworks that last what 10-15min?? I like the lake view because of the sunrise and it is an all day view and fireworks are only a few min. plus we have a 1 year old and she might be sleeping by the time wishes start.
I know how you feel about relaxing after you book the reservation. We worried for months. The rest of the planning/booking is the fun part!!! What company do you use for the limo?

OH!! :woohoo:You are getting me soooo excited about the GV!!! :cool1: And Hubby and I have decided that we will definitely book the LV too!! ;)This is a good thing because there are "plenty" avail and only "limited availability" on the MK view!! PLUS....like you said....THE POINTS!! OUCH!! We would have to "rent" some points to get our last night if we did a MK room. If we do a LV, we have enough points and won't "break" the bank as badly!:rotfl:

There are a LOT of really good Limo services in Orlando. You will see many reviews on these boards. We have had very good luck with Happy Limo.:)

Happy planning!!!
