Staying in a Grand Villa (whoo hoo!) soon. We booked a Theme Park view. Is there anything to request? Is there much difference in view in the Theme Park Grand Villas?

Theme Park is Theme Park. I would find the thread on BLT views so you know what to expect. IMO TP view is over rated, while you face the TP, you can't really see much, the roof of space mountain and the top of the castle in the distance. Many of the photos posted on the internet were taken using a zoom lens and they make you think that you are much closer than you are.

There are only a few theme park GV and they are all on the same floor. Some of them are closer to the CR than others. I haven't been in one of them but I have stood at the windows that are located on either side of the last villas and feel they have a great view of the MK. I personally really enjoy theme park view rooms especially as high up as the GV are located. I would say there is not much to request.

Thank you and don't worry, Bill. I have stayed at BLT with Theme Park views many times. Even in the distance, I love seeing the castle late at night. And my kids eat their breakfast watching the monorails drive in and out of the Contemporary, and watching the boats cruise across the lagoon. The whole scene is incredible! This time we'll be on the top, and we can't wait! I'm planning to spend many many hours looking out the windows. We put this stay at the end of an 12 day vacation, so we won't be so anxious to get and play!

That is exactly what I was thinking.

There are six theme-park-view Grand Villas. They're all on the 14/15th floor, and in the center tower. I don't think a room request is going to make much difference.

Glad that you know what to expect, I know that many including our family expected a slightly better view and we didn't experience the view until after we bought. Interesting that Disney changed the category from magic kingdom view to theme park view after they received complaints that you can't see much of the magic kingdom from BLT.

Have a wonderful vacation!

I hear what you're saying about views. I need to take a minute and complain, in writing, about our "lake view" room at the Poly. I sort of expected to see...the lake/lagoon. And the rooms on the second and third floor did see the water and the Magic Kingdom. But, from the first floor, all we saw were the bungalows. It was explained to me that the shallow water in front of the bungalows was "the lake". I don't agree.

Are we talking the two bedroom theme park view villas? If so good lord $1055.00 a night?

No. We are talking about the 3 Bedroom theme park view villas. At $1484 per weekday night. And that's a typical rental price - less then Disney's advertised prices. The 2 bedroom rental price is more like $750/weekday night.

Thank goodness we are owners or we could never afford to go!
