Blt front desk really

First off dinning told me of issue they told me what prob happened and what did happen. Different Restraunt double charged us meal pts. So told me to have hotel fix it they did. Cm at blt had no idea of any of my issues as I was waiting n line for guy n front to get done. Personally I would rather pay bill get credit later than to waste my time. N park hours.

My wife and I both thought she was rude and handled issue poorly. I do c all pts said yes after hours sorry shoot me for not knowing and waiting n line! There was 3 cm there for heavens sake not like I stormed to the front and demanded anything. I was just waiting then she informed me they r closed and come back tomorrow. That is when I asked my questions about who to call she said go over to Main. Had she been nice about it would not of posted on here but to b honest sorry I did!!

Just never seen a rude cm at high end hotel at Disney but oh well.

I know you think many are not sympathetic, but still wondering if you are DVC member?

As Members most of us are aware that the desk is closed at 10 and would not have been down there, are you a new member?

What one person takes to be a rude response, another person will find it to be an acceptable response. It's hard to say what is rude. We weren't there, we didn't hear the exact conversation or the tone.

This is exactly what I was thinking. The OP didn't tell us the whole conversation word-for-word, just the important parts that "We're closed", "Come back in the morning" and "Go over to the Contemporary."

For all we know, these phrases may have been strung together as politely as possible.

. . . I don't know how some of us thought it was about check in . . .

1) IMHO, it is called "jumping the gun in order to blame WDW or a CM".
2) I have told MANY, MANY, MANY people we are closed, even though CM's are at the desk - usually closing out.
3) The sign at the desk is clear, with posted hours of 7:00am-10:00pm.
4) I am sorry, but, "No, we can't do ONE favor".

5) After all, hours is hours and we want to get home, just like you do when at your job.
7) Probably 6-out-of-7-days, someone comes up after closing.
8) Or several people come up.
9) It is not our fault folks come late; they need to plan time better so they catch the Concierge Desk BEFORE it closes.

I'm a member and have no idea what the hours are. ... I just pm'd two more members at my firm and they have no idea either.

oh that's right...because its a vacation and we have what's called... a life.

I guess I would have to hear the tone. The information you were given was correct and concise. They were closed and you could have easily taken care of a charge issue in the morning. :confused3

When you indicated that you were not willing to wait to take care of the charge issue, then you were directed to where it could be immediately handled.

I don't know that a little brusque behavior by someone at the end of a long shift at work would warrant a complaint on the internet from me.

As rusty just said, there's a sign with hours on it. Signs are helpful things when in new places. Lots of info on signs!

That is why they provide signs, though even on vacation one does need to be aware of opening/closing times, etc. pertinent to the trip.

CMs have lives too and woul dlike to get to them at the end of their shift.

We stayed there in early September, (first time at BLT) paying cash through Disney and had the most wonderful experience, ever! The front desk CM was the most pleasant person ever, went out of his way to make sure we got a dedicated 2 bedroom as I had requested. He gave us buttons to celebrate our special occasions (first visit, a couple of birthdays & an anniversary - there were 7 people in our party). I had no issues with Housekeeping at all, the villa was as clean an any motel room of that caliber. I was so impressed with BLT & the accommodations, that before we left I went down to the front desk and told them that our stay exceeded my every expectation (I was practically tearful, but then I'm a pretty emotional person). BLT is pretty pricey, but we'd stay there again if we have a need for that large of a space. I know that people have different experiences, so I just wanted to give my honest opinion. Mine (ours) was truly magical! :goodvibes

I agree we have stayed twice this year and always had lovely CMS

Rude is rude plan and simple was I tired hell yes 10 hrs at the mk will make u tired but i was n good mood yes even with dinner issues yes np I paid for meal and moved on. Said we can work it out later at hotel like wait staff told me. And we did at main desk at contemp. Had the lady at blt said I. Sorry sr but we close these desks at ten but the main office will handle anything u need I would of hand no issues! She said come back tomorrow. And was rude. I then asked can I call a 800 # that is when she told me that I can go to main contemp to get help. Funny thing was guy over there was like yea I hear that a lot about the night staff. ( prob shouldn't say that but he did). He said I feel no guest left behind for no reason! True disney cm. oh well we had a amazing trip we will stay at blt again for sure even with issues we had. But r looking forward to kidnai savannah view n sept!

I probably would have done exactly as the cM suggested and just come back tomorrow. Then the walk exhausted with sore feet over to the contemporary could have been avoided. Sounds like a reasonable solution for a dining issue.

Which means what, :confused3

I asked because paying guests some times have different expectations of service and can be disappointed in the service of a DVC resort.

We all have lives, some us of just have better informed ones. ;)

No I'm not a dvc member cash paying customer. I was not aware of there hours till I was told my RUDE CM that evening while waiting for them to finish with people they was speaking with! I was n no hurry or was push to said CM. I was far enough away from the closed sign on the desk that I could not read sign clearly and to be honest I wasn't paying attention to it was chatting with my wife about picking up our stuff over at BVC gift shop! If I knew they was closed and I could of gone to contemp I would not have walked into main blt first from MK I would of just went to contemp!

I will know for next time! So I won't put out any RUDE cm or make them stay late for there job to help someone have a wonderful trip. To be honest most of you make it worse the more I think about it. She was rude harsh etc. yes one side of story but it is well the truth as I experienced it! Thought I would share! To be honest I love some of the cm from blt and contemp remember them from last years visit and one even remembered my daughters! From con lvl at atrium! That moved over to blt!

To be honest I would love to work in the travel side of business for disney making people's dreams come true! Be a great job to retire to possibly. I'm the type that will work kill I die due to know I will live longer and I love talking and helping people!

Yes I will stay at blt again due to location for MK and monorail. This didn't effect my trip so negative that it hurt my feeling etc.... Just thought hey there is a ton of folks that may or may not have seen or done same thing since CM at main contemp said yes that happens a lot with blt cm at night closing and not helping out! I would never send a guest over to main building if I was still there but that is just me the cm says at contemp!

The thing you keep ignoring is that it may not have been possible for the CM to help you. If the computers were already shutting down for the day, then that is it. They can't help you. I'm sorry they were rude, but there may have been truly no way for them to help you.

As far as one CM making a comment about another CM, I find that to be out of line and rude as well. They both work for the same company, they shouldn't be bad mouthing each other to a paying guest.

I don't think u understand I'm not saying she is rude for not helping me! I total understand going home pc off etc. that being said the way u handle your self and your commits and actions.

Which commit is better.

We r closed come back tomorrow we closed at ten.

Or

I'm sorry but this desk at blt closes at ten the main contemp can help u with any issues or u can come back at 7 am when we reopen.

That is how I found her rude. I have no prob being told no. Wife tells me no all the time!

That is why I was taken back not due to her not restarting pc etc. btw her pc was on she was on it with other guest.

Yes, it is obvious the cm didn't want to go that extra step to be more professional. "I'm sorry." and "Please" would have taken too long to say.

I had a rude CM at check in at the YC and I still remember her face and attitude. It didn't ruin my trip by any means but she was unpleasant and clearly in the wrong line of work.

While it's true we only have one side of the story why is it so hard to believe a cm was rude? I have encountered a few over the years I would consider rude. I have also been told "no" a few times at disney and didn't feel I was being treated rudely.

Op has stated it was the attitude of the cm and not the content of what was said that was rude. It's not hard for me to imagine that a cm being paid what they are paid, after hours, maybe tired of being asked to do things after turning the computers off and ready to go home would be short or rude. It also doesn't make being rude okay. I would hope that if it's a pattern the cm won't last long.

It would be just as easy to believe that the guest was rude as the castmember. Why not?

I see no reason the OP would come in there complaining about a rude CM if the CM was not in fact, rude. I don't see the motive there.

I could believe that too if that was being said. That's not what is being said. I realize we only have one side of the story, however that is almost always the case on a message board. I don't see anything that indicates op is lying. Seems silly that someone can't post that they had an encounter with a rude cm without being accused of lying or being rude themselves. The ops version is perfectly plausible and the only information we have as to that incident.

If the cm came on here complaining about a rude guest I wouldn't assume they were lying or they were the one being rude.
