BLT Contemporary DVC - What is your guide saying?

Just curious as to why folks talk to their guide so often? Am I not getting the service I should? I spoke to him when we bought and never spoke to him again. What am I missing?

when I see or heard about a new resort that might like - definitely call her.

other than that no contact - now my old guide was a friend - but when she got too sick to work - the new lady (who did a lot of my old guides work for about 2 years) was my guide.

she will call when something comes up - didn't call about AKV - but did SSR.

can't buy anything because waiting for BLT.

if they think you will buy they will definitely call you or send an email.

so call your guide if you are interested in all about BLT - one of the estimates that Disney has say sell out in 6 to 9 months - since the real sell out has always been less than their estimated - guessing 5 months.

just haven't problems seeing that many villa being gone in less than a year. Oh well time will determine who is right.

guess if they open sales in July to everyone - then their figures might be right.

but if only DVC members like the other sales - don't see those numbers. Not when most of us are buying 100 or less points.

Well, according to a source that is no longer posts on the Dis, sales should start July 1 with existing members being notified via mail the week prior. That would be this week. Still haven't seen anything in my mail box!

Everyday DH is checking the mailbox with anticipation every single day! He always shouts out in a very excited manner, "OH MY GOSH - GUESS WHAT JUST CAME?!?!" I fall in to his evil trap everytime :lmao: Because - you know what came - bills and junk!

It will arrive soon - we are sure of it! ::yes::

sounds like divorce grounds to me.:faint:

that is just cruel....

though it was to be the last week in July - although don't know where this is coming from...

When I asked my guide he said "the crow flies south at midnight". I have forwarded the message to the CIA for analysis.

There must be something going around down there. Mine said "The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plains.":confused3

Oh well that is quite easy.

You see the part of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady was supposed to go to Julie Andrews who played the part on Broadway. Anyway, something something, Mary Poppins, anyway...Julie Andrews didn't get the part. A few years later, Julie Andrews was part of the TV special opening Walt Disney World, which included the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Ft. Wilderness. So you see the line..."The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plains" (a line from My Fair Lady) is a direct reference to Julie Andrews and the Contemporary Resort.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm just kidding y'all.

So do you think Jim Lewis is enjoying this?:stir:

I was told by my guide that they know nothing... except... "any new properties will cost more $$$ per point to purchase and will take more points per night to stay."

I was at WDW 5/31 thru 6/9 earlier this month.

Spoke with 2 DVC folks:

1st was Vance who was manning a DVC kiosk at CBR food court, told DW and I and I quote, "I had lunch with Jim Lewis 2 weeks ago, and he told us that the Contemporary will be unlike any DVC yet!" (read this quote with subtle excitement ;) and raised eyebrows kind of feeling ::yes:: ).

2nd was our guide, Ayanna, during our tour when adding on points, "The good thing is that you guys are adding on now for $96 a point, because you never know when something could happen in the near future that could cause your points to increase in price." (this was expressed to us with a wry, ear-to-ear smile :rolleyes1 and excessively elevated eyebrows :thumbsup2 ).
