BLT check in where?

I just read on another website that BLT now has check in at the BLT lobby. Is that true? I always have done it at the Contemporary.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort adds check-in desk

As part of a commitment to the continuous improvement of the Member experience, Disney Vacation Club has created a new check-in desk to allow Members staying at Bay Lake Tower to check in at the Bay Lake Tower lobby.

This convenient new service is available from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily until further notice.

Members arriving by Disney's Magical Express will continue to check-in next door at Disney's Contemporary Resort (where the Front Desk operates 24 hours a day).

The check-in desk in the Bay Lake Tower lobby also provides a variety of services for all Bay Lake Tower Members and Guests to enjoy throughout their stay, including check-out, ticket sales, dining reservations, recreation and spa reservations, and more.

you can do that but if you are arriving at a time when others are also arriving - then would go to CR - it can be quicker.

at the guard security point you will get your parking pass - be sure to tell him which one you are checking in at - he tells the CM waiting at that resort (or he could be telling both)

at BLT they like to meet you outside and take you in - if you have done express check in - think this person can check you in - otherwise you go to their checkin area (where you also get entrance to towl after 5pm). (might be 6pm)

they generally have at the most 2 CM's here - while at CR they have between 2 and 8 Cm that can check you in.

at blt some of the guests can easily take a half hour or more - when there are only 2 CM doing the check in this can be a BIG problem.

timed one guy - he was probably asking questions for a good 15 minutes while I waited to check in - he was still there asking questions - after I had check in, went to my room and brought my luggage up - now went to CR using the skywalk - so don't know if he was still there or not. probably at least an hour.

only stay with BLT if there is only one person checkin before you - more than that head to CR.

I arrived at BLT 2 weeks ago. I had a rental car and got a parking pass at the guard gate. I walked up to the BLT lobby and right inside the doors a cm greeted me "Ms B..."? I said, wow how did you know? She then escorted me to the front desk and stood with me for a minute until someone was open.

Yep I saw it! I still checked in at Contemporary because I didn't know, but there are desks now in BLT lobby for check-in.

Yes, I knew that, I was just joking. I think it may have been through the IPad/tablet, the cm in the lobby was carrying one.

I have a related question. We will be doing a split stay with BLT in the middle of our upcoming trip. We will have our luggage transferred from BCV to BLT. Will the luggage REALLY be at BLT or will it be at the Contemporary (where they use to send it)?

DME is going to drop you off at the Contemporary. They will be expecting you there, but nothing is stopping you from walking over to BLT and checking in there if it's during the hours the BLT desk is open.

Bell Services is at the Contemporary. Bell Services will deliver to BLT or you can pick up your luggage at Bell Services.

When I was there, they had bellmen in the BLT lobby. I parked and was taking my luggage in and then groceries, they kept offering to help me. They were also out front loading cars.
