Hi all,

We're hoping to have our first family trip home to BLT from 12/18-12/29 2011.

We're wanting to book a Lake view studio but I'm just wondering if anyone has had problems booking at 11 months out for Xmas week.

Also, we're wanting to do the first 5 nights no DDP, then 5 nights with DDP and then 1 night no DDP and was tryng to figure out the best strategy to do this...? I'm guessing I should book the start of each segment at the 11 month mark, but I'm concerned there won't be availability for the nights later in the holiday.

Could anyone give some pointers to a newbie (just joined DVC about a month ago) :wizard:

You won't have any problems booking a lake view studio for those dates at 11 months out. The majority of rooms at BLT are lake view. No worries!! :goodvibes

At 11 months out you will have NO problem. We are staying at BLT this Christmas week and we got part of the reservation right away at 7 months and then waitlisted the laste 3 days and they came through in Nov.

Thank you both for the replies. Good to know that it shouldn't be a problem :)
MinnieGi have a great WDW Christmas!

You can only book 7 nights at the 11 month mark. So you could make a reservation for all 10 nights (adding the last three either one day at a time or all three at once at the 11 month mark for the last night) and then ask MS to split the stay so you could do the dining plan as you stated. Make sure to tell them that you do not want to lose any of your dates, you just want to add the dining plan for some of the days. I hope it works for you.

With apologies to the OP for hijacking, what does everyone's magic 8-balls say about a 7 month booking of a 8 night BLT MK view 1 BR for mid Nov? (Not Thanksgiving week.) Is it wishful thinking or is it likely possible until BLT "sells out"?

Thanks!

I would say you will be fine as long at you call right at 8am est at 11 months. There are more LV rooms than MK views and as long as you're on the phone at 8am you will get it. Most likely even for the second half.
No matter what you would have to call back for the last 3 nights right? Seeing you can only book 7 nights at a time.

Good luck, I hope you get what you want. I had to cancel a xmas trip this year and had no issues at 11 mo FWIW

similar to what we're doing this year.

the best thing is to walk it. two cat. were already booked
though we were lead to believe it would not be a problem.

we got what we needed, but i had to get involved &
do my own problem solving. from what i discovered,
dvc need to do some internal checks.
