Blown away!!

We got back from our 4 night cruise on the Dream three days ago...let me just tell you we were so blown away by how amazing our cruise was!! We absolutely loved it and had the best time! We'd sailed with Princess and Holland America before...Disney is our absolute favorite by far!! The service was amazing...every single crew member gave impeccable service and was so personable. We loved the shows...especially Believe and the fireworks with the Cap. Jack Sparrow show beforehand. The food, meeting the characters, watching Finding Dory on the ship, the Aquaduck...I could go on and on! We enjoyed every minute of that cruise!

We decided on the ship we had to do another one...we have a three day hold on the Fantasy sailing October 28, 2017 for the Western Carribean. We're paying the down payment tomorrow. We have stateroom 6076. It will be a Halloween on the high seas cruise. Has anyone done a Halloween cruise and/or stayed in that cabin on the Fantasy?

We are Disney Cruise fans for life!! We've been to Disney World ️several times with our son and we loved the more relaxed feel of the cruise with the same Disney character experiences! It was a nice change of pace!

We stayed in room 6074! Just next door! We were a bit worried about being so close to the elevators and stairs (I did not want to walk back to the room so far... with two small children) and so happy that we did that the next couple of cruises are in the same room! The view from our veranda was beautiful! We also did the FE exchange and never had a problem with anyone taking magnets off our door or gifts from the exchange. There was only one occurrence where we left our room service try outside our door for pick up and a group of teens walked by and kicked the tray... I heard it and opened the door and when they saw me, they took off running.. other than that, no problems or noises at all! Enjoy!

We will be going on the Fantasy with Halloween on the high seas this October, it is also our first cruise ever! So excited!

Hello! We didn't stay in that stateroom, but we did sail during Halloween on the High Seas. Tonnes of fun. They had a party where you could get dressed up and had a dance party with the characters. My boys loved it!



We loved our first Disney cruise so much, we are going back this October to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.

I'm glad you had a good time. I haven't been on Holland or Princess, but am disappointed to read that you thought the service was so much better on DCL. I've been looking at the Alaska cruises on Princess and Holland and have only been on DCL up to this point.

I haven't been on Princess, but I did find the service not up to DCL's level on Holland. Even when my cabin steward seemed to think I was a spy for DCL (I did have a hoodie, DCL toiletries, and a plush Goofy and Baby Sven... He, an assistant, and a supervisor were going over the detailing of my cabin with a fine-toothed comb one morning.) - it was adequate but not exceptional. Don't get me started on the "service" in the MDR - not good at all!

Halloween on the High Seas was really fun. We have taken 2 Halloween cruises and really enjoyed the Halloween themed activities. So glad you enjoyed your cruise...back on in 10 more days

I'm glad you had a good time. I haven't been on Holland or Princess, but am disappointed to read that you thought the service was so much better on DCL. I've been looking at the Alaska cruises on Princess and Holland and have only been on DCL up to this point.

We took Princess to Alaska and did not find them to be above DCL for service. We were on the Ruby last June. It was fine, the service and food we felt was all very good but if we would get a re-do, we'd sail Disney to Alaska.

Glad you had such a great time on the dream! We really liked the Dream too, I do like the Fantasy better, the splash zone is a great addition I think.

@cruisehopeful I don't think the service was poor on Princess or Holland America by any means!! We had a fabulous time cruising with both of them! We sailed with Princess in Alaska and had a fabulous time...I only meant that Disney's service was amazing for the extra mile they go to interact with kids...for example my son was getting impatient waiting in line to meet captain mickey and a crew member noticed and came over and talked to him and told him jokes and totally got his mind off of being bored...I do think Disney goes above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy but I think Princess and Holland Anerica do too! You will love cruising with them too and will love Alaska! It is absolutely beautiful!!
