My DD, sister and I will be staying at CBR in June. My DD is 14 years old and has decided that she is too old to sleep with me or her aunt. I know that my sister is not real crazy about sharing a bed with me. Do you think there would be a problem if we brought along one of those blow up beds so that DD could sleep on the floor? We could bring along sheets and just ask for an extra pillow and blanket.

I know it will make the room a bit more crowded, but if it keeps peace.....

It should be OK, as long as you deflate it once you get up in the morning.

We've done this. We took an empty water bottle and cut the bottom out of it, inserted the 'pouring' end into the bed inflation hole, jammed a blow-dryer into the cut out end and blew it up in seconds with the dryer. When deflated, it fit easily in a suitcase, in use, at PO/Riverside Mansions, we placed it on the floor near the door.

Thanks. I love the idea of using the water bottle and hair dryer to blow it up!

We did this last summer. Stayed at ASMu with two teenage boys who did NOT want to sleep in the same bed. We never deflated it the whole time we were there. We just propped it up against a wall everyday.

There is no problem with having those. And there is no need to deflate everyday, if you'd like the maid to vacuum under it just put it up against the wall.

I've used a twin aerobed for 4 yr old dd for our last 4 or 5 trips (since she stopped sleeping in a crib). PLUS I drape a sheet on a clothesline that I attached to the curtain rods! to tent her in (like her own room).

She always sleeps good in it too. This past trip we stayed in a cabin at FW and I didn't bring her aerobed thinking she'd sleep fine in the bunk bed, nope she slept better in her aerobed! Won't foget it next time!

If you shift the desk or chairs and table around you can put it in the corner of the room.

we also use an aero bed for 2 year old twins who sleep together, we pack our own sheets and pillowcases so they are familar. don't deflate it theres no need just prop it against the wall before you leave in the am. good luck

LOL! When I read your SUBJECT:

BLOW UP BED IN ROOM

My original thought was, I don't think the beds explode in the rooms? LOL! Sorry, I just had to. S
