Blow off AK for extra day at MK?

Glad you're keeping AK! When are you going? The new Rivers of Light opens March 2016 doesn't it? As for MK, what's more important, the rides or the ambiance? If it's rides go for rope drop, if it's ambiance go for wishes.

With kids that age, I wouldn't skip AK and would go with option 1.

If you are worried about missing Wishes, keep in mind you are going to see MK fireworks at MNSSHP.

I would argue that Wishes and Hallowishes are two completely different experiences, even if they both have fireworks.

AK is better then DHS, but MK is better then AK. So yes, I would.

I would suggest going to Animal Kingdom. The Wilderness Explorers Challenge at AK sounds like a lot of fun and your kids might really enjoy it.

AK was only ok for our family. It was very warm when we went. Our kids have opted not to go back this year, but spend more days at MK.

I've skipped MK in favor of AK & will probably do so again.

No way I'd skip AK in favor of MK though.

No way would my family let me skip AK (DS6, DD2). (Given the choice though, they would drop HS in a heartbeat.)

We would choose MK rope drop over Wishes based solely on the number of rides we could get done, especially since you can see Hallowishes at MNSSHP. But even more so since my kids don't make it very late at the parks.

We are taking our 7yo son for the first time and made the decision to not do AK or EPCOT this trip. We are doing a MNSSHP our arrival night, then a HS day and 2 full (closing time is 7 our days) MK days. As young as your children are, I definitely think you need more time in MK!
