Well, we're back in the cabin. Today was
unexpected. I am, by nature, a planner, although I did pledge that I would be more spontaneous on this trip. I can say that I lived up to that promise today. Our original plan involved being at the Magic Kingdom all day, having our TS meal at Tony's. When we arrived and almost all the rides were down with no estimated fix time, we scrapped the itinerary. It bit, but at least we were able to go on the speedway, tea cups, IASW, and the tree house. Yep
That's all that was working this morning! We opted to hop over to HS, and while on the bus, I was able to book 50's Prime Time and cancel Tony's.
As soon as we arrived, we headed over to Pizza Planet. I've heard negative things about pizza at the World in general, but this stuff was pretty good. Mickey opted for a cheese pizza with applesauce, a cookie, and a soda. Sorry, no pic, but it pretty much looked like the Roaring Forks pizza he already ate. Goofy, Donald, and I all had veggie pizzas with salads, cookies, and sodas. We all were pretty hungry by now, and everything hit the spot.
Afterward, we saw some sights, rode TSMM, and I went on the RNRC for the very first (and last) time. I did have to laugh at the end, though, because the photo was so pathetic. We ended up buying it, lol. After that, we stopped by Starring Rolls for drinks. The boys had juice, dh had water, and I had a mini bottle of Pinot Grigio. After the roller coaster, I could've used a stiffer drink, LOL
For dinner, we were able to check into Prime Time early. Mickey ordered the chicken and pasta.
He did very well with it and ate almost all the beans. It may have been because he was told to, lol.
Goofy ordered the meatloaf. His plate was practically licked clean.
Donald and I started off with drinks. He ordered a Long Island iced tea, and I got the Magic Star cocktail.
For our entrees, both Donald and I got the special, which consisted of two pieces of fried chicken, greens, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, pot roast, and green beans and carrots. It was A LOT of food!
My favorite was the meatloaf, and Donald enjoyed the pot roast most of all. Funny thing, I ate all my green beans but not the greens, and he ate all of his greens but not his green beans. We got lectured for that, but it wasn't too stern.
For dessert, Donald shared his sundae with Mickey:
Goofy ordered smores. They disappeared in the same fashion as his meatloaf.
I fell in love with the Boston cream pie parfait. It was so good that I ate the entire thing! And I absolutely refuse to feel guilty for it!
So
While today did not go as planned and we got off on the wrong foot in the MK, it did end well.
Coming up tomorrow: Yak and Yeti lunch and who knows what for dinner. It may be something in MK, since we missed out on it today!
