Hi everyone.
I'm blogging from WDW for the Boston Herald for the next week. On Monday they'll be putting up a form so you can enter to win a trip. They give one away about once a year.

So... Check out my blog! http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/entertainment/disney_days/

(I'm arriving on Monday, but I started blogging today.)

I'll be pointing people here, since it's by far the hugest and most informative source of Disney info on the planet. So be nice to any new posters with Boston accents. :thumbsup2

And win that trip! I want to be able to say a fellow Disser won!

That was a perfectly written article, at least for a Disney addict anyway! I chuckled because there were numerous 'dis' references that were spot on, like Figaro Fries and Dole Whips! Looking forward to the live blog.:thumbsup2

Awesome! I will definitely be following your blog and I will be entering the Herald's contest. I loved your book, went and got it after reading about it here on the DIS. Have a wonderful time (I know, how can you not...it's Disney!!!:goodvibes)

thanks for the heads up! i'll definitely be following your blog. :goodvibes

Hey, in fairness - sitting by the pool at Pop during a DIS meet a couple of years ago, when a passerby stopped to ask a question, I was able to pinpoint his hometown as Dawchestah! I, however, do not have an accent. None of us do. It's the rest of the country ;)

:lmao: Too true! I remember riding home with a college friend for Christmas break. We were coming up rt. 93 and he saw a sign for Worcester. He pronounced it 'worchester'!:rotfl: I laughed and said it's pronounced 'wuhstah'!

I would have pronounced it exactly the same way your friend did.

I actually grew up in Salisbury. You could tell people who weren't from the region because they'd call it "Sal-iz-bury."

I'd corrected them with the "Solzberry" pronunciation. Wicked fast. :lmao:

:lmao: That's exactly how my Dad says it, "Solzberry" and wicked fast! He used to work in Ipswich so we went to "Solzberry" a lot! I remember him getting mad because we'd be all like 'aww Dad, can't we got to Hampton Beach instead?'

My DH thinks it's the craziest accent he's ever heard! Because we leave off the 'R' in words and then add in an 'R' where there shouldn't be one. Like in pizzer (pizza)!

ChefBilly...I'll be following along too!

too funny....DH and I were sitting on a beach in Cozumel while on a Disney cruise when we heard this guy nearby talking. we recognized his "Hyde Pahk" accent.....turns out the guy lives about a 1/2 mile from us!
