Blog: August Dooney & Bourke Releases Debuting on Shop the Parks App

I can’t even express my excitement! Three new, and absolutely fabulous, Dooney & Bourke prints are set for release this month! With all of the designs popping up in stores lately, it is definitely going to be tricky picking just one to take home. However, I do find fault in a few aspects of this release. Be sure to read to the end of this article to find out exactly why.

I'm thinking either Dumbo or the tea party are going home with me. I'm not sure I understand your issues with the coated cotton. D&B has always offered their purses in coated cotton and Disney has always had some in stock. As far as the prices, if you look at D&B's regular line, their coated cotton is expensive, while not as high as the leather it's high. I own at least 10 Disney D&Bs and at least 15 non Disney D&Bs and half of them are coated cotton.

I love that they are offered in a non-leather product. I prefer synthetic leather (darn you, Coach!) or non-leather products. No real leather for me unless I am just not aware of it. I mean...I'm not over the top retentive about it, but I do my best to avoid it when possible.

At first glance, I was IN LOVE with Beauty and the Beast. Absolutely in love with it. All the characters look spot on....except Belle. Belle just looks a bit weird. It's like they pulled everyone from the original film, except Belle they tried to use some sort of variation on the updated "modern" Belle. It just throws me off.

Where at Epcot do they sell Dooney and Bourke? I will be there for F&W and I totally missed the F&G bags and had to buy one off eBay. I had to have Figment though.

Mouse Gears stocks them I believe and I think the festival Center had the festival bags

Unless these are released in park or on the Disney store site I either won't be buying or will have to use a personal shopper. Canadians can't download the shop parks app. It's not available in the international App Store

Yes I see what you mean. I will not purchase one without first seeing the placement. I hate the thought of having to buy one on ebay and have them gouge me though. That's the only way you can see the pattern if it's only available through the app.

I'm super excited about the B&TB one but I'm annoyed that it's going to only to be available on the app. I want to see it in person if I'm going to spend so much money on a bag..especially since the patterns/placements differentiate on Dooney's.

Most of the lines that are these style of colorful design are not leather; this is not new to these lines. The pricing structure has always been the same as the ones made of leather.

I agree so much about Belle! Everything else is perfect except Belle is an odd modern version of herself. I, a huge Beauty and the Beast fan but I may go with the Alice cross body... Bummer about the Beauty and the Beast :/

I have about the same amount of Dooneys myself. It's not a huge deal for me, but there are many complaints across social media about the pricing for non-leather pieces. I can people's point on that. On the flip, they'd never be able to get such vibrant colors on a leather bag. It's a catch 22.

Sure is, I think I might have been shocked the first time I saw the price on a coated cotton one but then when I saw the prices on the leather ones, I was good to go with coated cotton. As you pointed out in your article, you'd have to look very close to even tell they weren't leather and they last as long.

We go to DW the last week in September. I REALLY hope they release Alice into the stores by then. I want either the shopper or crossbody, but I really don't want to rely on the app. I want to pick the pattern myself dang it!
