We're going in October for Halloween and we will want to do a water park. Which is better? Please help! I want to make the best choice.

Thanks!

They're both great and both different, try to do both if you can. If not, it depends what kind of themeing you prefer, I find TL a little more relaxing.

I personally like TL better than BB. We seemed to get right onto the rides at TL and there was a TON of shade...at BB the waits and lines were endless, and there was hardly any shade.

We do both and enjoy them both -

What we see as main plus of each ...........

TL -
Tropical Castaway theme w/lush landscaping
More relaxed and adult feel to park
Lots of quiet spots
Awesome wave pool
Shark Reef

BB -
Cartoon theme that is very upbeat - kids love it
Skylift to top
More slides and much higher "super slide"
Great pre-teen area
Very well planned and more relaxed kiddie area

Both have plenty of slides for us and both have a lazy river. I think it depends on if you have kids, their ages, and what theme you like. You can't go wrong with either one.

Definetly Typhoon Lagoon. The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon is such a great thrill and the water slides at Typhoon Lagoon are a lot more exciting. The only exciting thing at Blizzard Beach is Summit Plummit and if you are thinking about spending a day at the water parks than you might want to do more than one attraction.

They are both great parks! For me, TL has better wave pool, lazy river, and atmosphere. Plus Shark Reef is fun. BB has better slides and Family Raft ride. I also think BB has more to do for kids (with both an area for small kids, and a pre-teen area)

I think you will enjoy whichever one you decide to do.

Do you have kids? We've been to both and my kids, who were 13 & 15, one time and 16 & 18 another time, preferred BB over TL...more thrill type water slides. I don't care which one...they both have lazy rivers, which is where I spent most of the time! :D

There are three of us going and it includes myself, my DH and my DD who will be 9 years old. Our daughter prefers to do the rides with us and we're 40 and 42 which means that we don't want to get beat up too much. :hyper:

My DD was 9 when we went in March and we went to both BB & TL. We like them both for some of the same reasons as others have stated. At BB we like to do the slides and she loves to play in the ski patrol area. At TL we spend most of the day in the wave pool with a lap around the wave pool and 1 trip through shark reef. I bet my DD would pick TL as her favorite because all 3 of us get in the wave pool and stay for hours.

We just got back and did one day at each. The family raft is best at BB. Love the ride and also like the downhill racers at BB. We all loved TL for the river, wave pool and sharks. The slides were much easier to get on at TL. I liked the more relaxed feel that TL had, but my son (14) liked BB. MY 10 yo daughter liked TL better. I guess it just depends on the ages of your kids.

The family raft ride at BB is much better than the one at TL. However, we prefer TL overall. We love the setting. Not interested in the snow them at BB, but we love the tropical setting of TL. The wave pool is the best. Castaway Creek is where we spend a good deal of our time. And we never miss a few rides on the Storm Slides. We always plan a day at TL, but have never been back to BB after our first time there! While they are both great, it depends alot on what type of theming you like!
