Hi all! I haven't been to WDW in nearly 10 years (for shame
). As such, I remember little to nothing about our last trip - especially since I was in my teens and my parents planned everything - but I DO remember how much we loved Blizzard Beach.
However, we don't exactly have a full day to spend there, so I was thinking about making that our first stop when we land around 9:30am on a Tuesday in August (weather permitting). If all goes well, it'll probably be approaching 11:30-12 by the time we get to the park, and I know from reading the boards that we're going to encounter massive crowds at that time of day.
Later on, I was thinking we'd check-in to our off-site hotel, maybe unpack a little, and then head to Epcot for our Biergarten ADRs and Illuminations.
My question: is it worth it to even try venturing into a Disney waterpark in the late morning/early afternoon on a sweltering August day? If it's going to be a 60-minute wait for a single slide, then I'd rather not even attempt it. Even worse - what are the odds the park will be closed to capacity?
We do have the WP&M option (given my love of Blizzard Beach and DBF's fascination with DisneyQuest), so it's not necessarily the $ I'm worried about...it's just that I'd love to kick off our vacation with a little Disney magic and a waterpark seemed an obvious choice for a few hours. But if it's going to be impossible to see/do anything there, then I'm definitely open to other suggestions!!!
