Water socks, definitely... they'll be worth your while. Floating around the lazy river (or any of a million other rides) while holding flip flops just *isn't* fun. I'd also avoid the sport sandals that totally strap on, as they just tend to hinder you in the water and are very difficult to move around while wearing them.

HTH!

Go with the water socks.
You don't have to worry about them floating away.
Also if your feet start to hurt with all the walking at the parks.
They are very comfortable back up shoes. :Pinkbounc
I made the mistake of bringing new sneakers on our last trip.
By the 2nd day my feet were killing me. :sad2:
Changed to the water socks.
Also they are get for Splash Mountain ect. :fish:

We go to the water parks alot. I always use water socks. Dh and DS always go barefooted. I wouldn't even consider wearing flip flops, it would be too inconvenient.

Water shoes!!!! Definitely!! Me and DH went barefoot one year until he sliced the bottom of his foot open in the shark reef at TL. Had to go to nurses station to have it cleaned, bandaged, and couldn't swim the rest of the day. Taught us a valuable lesson.

So I say water shoes because you need them even in the water. Obviously, you can't swim in flip flops and would have to take them off in the water and we unfortunately learned that you are just as likely to get hurt in the water as out.

They were really nice though and gave us two free tickets to come back another time (sadly, have no idea where they are now)...

They won't let you. once I was going down slush gusher with pool shoes and they wouldn't let me so my Dad had to hold them

Wow! I didn't know that - but we didn't try to go on any slides - just did the shark tank, lazy river, and the wave pool and you can wear them in those. Thanks for letting me know for the future though!
