Blizzard beach tips :)

looking for some tips to make our day at BB enjoyable. We will have 2 six year olds and 2 4 year olds with us. Should we set up "home base" in the time area? Or will this be too little for them?

Thoughts? Suggestions? TIA

I'd set up base by the big kids area, because it is more central to the other slides. I took my then 5 and 8 year olds last summer and they loved the big kid stuff and Teamboat Springs the most!

You could rent a cabana.

6 and 4 are probably too old to be entertained in the tot area for more than a few minutes. I also think the max height is 48" so depending on how tall your 6yos are they may be too tall. As PP said, I'd set up camp around the big kids area, or the wave pool. Also check the height requirements for the slides; you may need to split up as your 6yos will probably be tall enough for some slides that the 4yos aren't.

I would set up your home base by the kids section of the park. I guarantee that is where your kids will want to spend the most time. Long lounge chairs go fast, but they have tons of the short chairs. Unless you plan on lying out, you can just grab a few chairs to have somewhere to keep all your stuff and go back to when you break. It's a really fun park. My nephew and niece agree it's their favorite. My family has never rented a cabana, in our opinion it's a lot of money just to have that space. Most of the time you'll be in the water somewhere so why pay to have a chair? Make sure to do teamboat springs (the family raft ride), it is so fun. You can take the chair lift up to it.

what is everyone considering the kids area? The skit patrol part? Or the area where the water dumps all over you?

I think the ski patrol area or the wave pool would be best. I would not rent a cabaña unless you are planning to spend a lot of time in it, they are very expensive.
