We are hoping to fit in our first adventure to a water park during our late October trip. Blizzard Beach seems to have the most for my kids to do- except its closing for refurbishment during our trip. After looking at our plans I could fit it in on Sunday, Oct 29th- the last day before it closes.

Historically, are the water parks busier the day before they go into refurb?

We wouldn't be able to get there until the afternoon- would this make you not want to go due to higher crowds after lunch time?

I haven't been on a day before refurb. But, I have noticed that they actually seem to thin out after 2 ish.

Someone can correct me, but I believe they have a Florida after 2 pass for this reason. People seem to get their at opening and leave around 2 or 3.

We love blizzard beach for our kids. If it is under refurb while we are there we usually just skip a water park. Just not fans of typhoon. It is nice enough. But maybe it is the theming, the nice bright white of blizzard beach makes it seem so,clean and wide open. Plus,we prefer the kid area and wave pool,is,much gentler.

Have a great trip :)
