According to the park hours here in Disboards, Blizzard Beach is open Sunday March 9th. This seems odd since it is supposed to be closed for a refurb. I do see however that it should be re-opening a week after that. Is it possible they are doing a dry run so to speak or is it an error?

If this is correct, it will be cool since we are there during this time and my kids like the water parks. We plan on having a quiet day during the day time that day since we want to hit MK for late EM hours.

PS - I guess I need to update my trip counter!!!

Disney's TA calendar has is listed as closed for refurb that day, and I would trust it above any other site.

Refurbs in general do not end early since they need to know 3 weeks in advance in order to get the staffing setup.

A water park opening early is a special because of the time of the year, they just don't need 2 water parks open due to the weather.

Also I think you are talking about a soft opening that they do for some new rides and major refurbs. Soft openings are to test out systems, train CMs and test guest flow which since there is nothing new aren't needed.

I'm thinking it just an error.

Nevermind.... I looked at wrong day.
Actually you looked at it correctly. It's a typo on the wdwinfo site; every day from Mar 1 - Mar 15 shows as REHAB for BB...except for Mar 9. Go figure.
