I am planning a trip to Blizzard Beach over the summer. Looking for tips on shoes and lockers.
I purchased a pair of these:

...normally I'm a sandal person, but I needed the closed toed shoes for the Backstage Magic Tour. The Keens look to be totally waterproof and immersible. But my understanding of the park rules is that you need to remove shoes before you ride the slides. So it got me to thinking...
Do most folks wear water shoes/sandals and remove them before they ride slides?
Do you just walk around barefoot?
Can you wear water shoes/sandals in the lazy river?
The next question is what is the preferred locker to get if you plan to rope drop the park? From the map,

it looks like there are two lockers, one near the entrance and one near Tike's peak. It has been a while since I've been to BB. Are the lockers near the entrance beyond the tapstiles?
Is there any difference between getting a locker at the entrance vs. the one's near Tike's peak? I'm thinking it may be beneficial to beat the rush, and get the locker at Tike's peak to get away from the morning crowd. And then it looks like a short walk to Summit Plummet.
Oh, and one other question... I seem to recall that the faux fiberglass snow was a haven for wasps and/or yellow jackets. Is this still the case?
