Blizzard Beach rehab extended

Hi, I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I just noticed that Blizzard Beach's rehab has been extended through April 8th as posted on Deb's site.

I just wanted to pass this along in case it disrupts anyone's plans. Sorry it's bad news! I know BB was supposed to open within the next couple of weeks.

Just wanted to let you all know that I checked on the Disney site, and the rehab is listed through the end of March. Tuesday (April 1) seems like kind of a strange day to re-open BB, so I don't know if that's accurate or not, but I guess don't count on going to BB if you're going in March.

We are seriously considering cancelling our trip!

We can't afford a full park vacation this year, so we planned to use our flex features this March to go to the water parks.

yes the rehab is extended until early April last I heard. My fiance is a CM at Blizzard and she is currently being shifted around elsewhere. They called last week and said that it will reopen in early April.

It is listed on the Disney website that it will reopen on April 6th.

Okay, now it's listed on the Disney Web site as opening April 9th, which was what Deb had several days ago.

We'll be gone by then, but if you're going around that time, keep checking or call Disney. I guess they can't make up their minds!

What about Typhoon Lagoon - we love that Water Park.

Even if TL is your fav water park. Having BB closed will mean larger crowds at TL. If you plan on having a relaxing time visiting the water parks, having one closed is a BIG deal, IMO.

Remember when River Country was closed for rehab? Kept getting longer and longer?

I don't think, to this day, they've actually ANNOUNCED that it's never re-opening.

Is Blizzard next?

BTW Synonymous - we are leaving the same day you are. Also, I have many relatives that live in Silver Creek. My grandfather grew up there!! What a small world.

I certainly don't know this, but I would think that since April is usually a very busy month for them, I cannot see how they would purposely close one water park leaving the other to fill to capacity within an hour or so and have it remain like that indefinitely. I hope this doesn't happen as BB was on our must do list since we've never been (as well as TL).

I highly doubt they would close BB. That is the most used water park at WDW. Everytime that I go past there from Mid April until the end of summer time the parking lot is constantly full.

I'm starting to calm down now, Lorix I guess it's really not all that bad. The initial news upset me. I just hope that this is the end of the cuts.

We are still disappointed. I was anticipating a leisurly trip to BB two times next week and lots of time just relaxiking at the hotel. We suspect we will try out Universal for a day. Kind of voiting with our feet when Disney cuts hours. The problem is the cost, but three days at universal is a little less than two days at Disney parks.

Of course now they predict some storms for next week...
