Hi everyone!
Sorry if this question has been asked before...............We have not been to WDW in February before, we usually go November time, each time we have been Blizzard Beach has been closed for refurb. Historically Blizzard Beach reopens late Dec early Jan while Typhoon Lagoon is being done.

My question is firstly is the weather disimilar to November or pretty much the same in February temp wise, and is Blizzard Beach more geared up for older children and teens?

Secondly do they close if the temp drops very low? I know the weather is unpredictable at this time of year but have never experienced this happening in November time.

Thanx for any info :wave2:

I have a preteen and a 2 year old. The preteen prefers BB. He loves the ski patrol area. This area is great for around 5 years through 12. He could spend all day just in this area alone and has usually met another kid to play with in that area. I've found TL to be easier to do with my 2 year old.

Feb is winter, so the mornings and evening could be cold. The water temp will be at least 74 degrees. I've often taken my son to the water parks after school. Crowds are usually least after 3pm til closing. They do not close the park if the temps drop low.

I dont have any kids so I can't help you with your first question, but as stated above, they dont close the water parks if it gets too cold. But even with the heated water, its still freezing. Im a 27 yr old male and I screamed like a little school girl when I touched that waterslide water for the first time!

Both TL and BB have children's areas ... I don't think you will have any problem with either one. Don't believe temperature is a factor where the water parks are concerned. Water is heated.

My personal preference is for TL and I think you will find that most people who've been to both will prefer one over the other. I think both your kids will have fun regardless of which park you visit.

The only times I've known the water parks to close is for capacity reasons (full) or when there is a thunderstorm/bad weather.

February weather, just like November, is hit or miss. You can have 85 degree days or in the 50's ... if you are there in February and a day is going to be warm, jump on it as the day for the water park visit because you may not get another chance.

Thank you guys for answering my questions...........looks like we'll give Blizzard Beach a whirl !!! :thumbsup2

Not sure about the rest of the attractions at Blizzard Beach, because I did not ask...but the water in the lazy river at BB is definitely NOT heated. A lifeguard there assured me of that this past January. She even asked me where I heard that it was.

Sorry that cast member informed you incorrectly. The water throughout the waterparks is heated except for the shark reef at TL and the "melting ice" water in the cave at BB.
