For starters, I hate water parks. I really do.

However, our kids want to do a water park for next years trip. We do Disney every year, so that would be something different. Our kids will be 13, 10, and 2.5 on our next trip.

Tell me which one is your favorite and why?

Which one has more attractions that will be good for a family with our age gaps?

Thank you!!

I personally prefer Blizzard Beach:thumbsup2. . . it is IMHO better themed and offers something for every age group. I feel Typhoon Lagoon appeals and caters mostly to teens. Aside from the two large slides, everything at BB can be done together as a family, and I have heard the kids area at BB is MUCH better than TL. I personally like that the one at BB is separated from the larger kid attractions so the kiddies are free to play. TL also offers many attractions I can get nearby at water parks in Michigan (wave pool, jetted tube ride, etc) while BB has the best inner tube ride- Team Boat Springs! At the end of the day however, it is Disney, whichever one you choose I promise you and the family will enjoy :goodvibes

I normally am not a huge water park fan either, only because of the local crowds and poorly maintained venue of the one near my house. However, I will say TL and BB are VERY different than a local water park. Much better...what you'd expect from Disney. Your older kids will like TL more. It has a lot of "thrill" slides and a monster wave pool. At 2.5 your youngest one is still too young for most of even what BB has to offer, and TL does have enough calm stuff you can bring him/her. So honestly, I'd go with TL as everyone there will have the most fun. If you do chose BB, there are still plenty of fun rides for the older ones, but not to the level of TL.

Disney water parks are the only ones I go to, they are highly themed, very clean and fun.

Rather confused by some previous posts as our family hands down says BB has the best slides and find that TL is quite boring and disappointing now that BB was built. Last time I got them to try it again they told me they don't want to go back, just too boring. Both will have things for your youngest to do with you but I think BB has a better kiddie area and you can situate yourself to enjoy lots of parts of the park.

Both have lazy rivers and big drop slides

TL:
- Lush beautiful design, great for those who want to relax
- Very powerful wave pool, too much really for your young one
- Shark Reef to snorkel, it's short and cold, do first thing in am before silt is stirred up, for us once and done
- Crush n Gusher, the only newer slide that was highly hyped, many like, we were disappointed
- Ketchakidde Creek, kiddie area was expanded after BB was built and to us it is a chaotic, area you have to stay close to your child since a cut through as well
- Most slides are short and not worth the wait in line

BB:
- Cartoon like decor that some hate but it's a cute story
- Bobbing wave pool good for any age and very relaxing
- Family Raft ride is absolutely awesome, great for everyone to do together
- Chairlift to top for some slides
- Ski Patrol Training Area great for younger kids up to tweens. Some things require you under 5 ft but some allow adults.
- Best kiddie area Tike's Peak, well designed, huge, built so not a walkway for other areas, great slides for the younger ones

- Slides where family members can race which is fun, some tube, flat raft and body

Thank you!!! I think Blizzard Beach will be a better fit for my family. Our older girls always chicken out with big water slides so I think BB will suit them just fine. :)
