Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon

Hubby and I adored TL on our solo trip. We're told by others in line that slides were tamer than BB.

We've been to both numerous times and we all prefer TL. It has more of a water park feel to us and we really love Crush N Gusher and also the snorkeling and lazy river.

From the northern snowy states here too and we are choosing TL for our June trip for sure! I do NOT go to Florida to see snow.:sunny: We also are a more mild ride family and I want the tropics. I am also looking forward to snorkeling above the sharks.

Thanks for the feedback...I think we may go with TL...do you have to pay extra for snorkeling?
No, it's included. It usually opens at noon and there will be a line forming. I would get there by 11:45 or even a little sooner.

Thanks for the feedback...We're hoping to go Monday, May 16 first thing in the am...If the weather looks good the night before, I was thinking of ordering umbrella and chair package. Should I call earlier?

so glad you asked this question! we're going in May and I wanted to do a waterpark day,all the posts reminded me that I want a tropical, not a snow theme!

Quick question....will we be able to secure umbrellas and chairs the day before??? Don't want to book too far ahead...will look at weather before? Any thoughts???

I would call and reserve your umbrella now. I would ask for the area above the wave pool. It is secluded, yet you can watch everything going on in the wave pool. There are only spots for 5 other families and there is good space between umbrellas/cabanas.

The earlier you call, the better chance you have to get the umbrella you want.

Being from the Midwest, being in a water park with a snowy, blizzard theme wasn't always my favorite.

The sand alone at TL is reason enough to name BB as the better water park.

Yes, it sometimes depends on from where you hail! We live 2 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, with great sand and real waves. BB is more appealing for us. The wave pool is so consistent as to be uncomfortable.

However, that's not to say TL isn't lovely.
