Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

We have never been to Blizzard and spent about an hour and a half at Typhoon about 10 years ago and left because it was insanely crowded.

We are heading down on August 17th for a week and were planning on trying one or both. Just wondering which tends to have bigger crowds? Will Blizzard Beach be even more packed because of the Poly's pool being closed? Are there any better days to visit similarly to the theme parks?

The theming & story behind each park is so adorable.....The details and decor around each is awesome !!
Read up on how each park came to be for example:...Sudden Snow Storm in Orlando etc..
Blizzard Beach is the newer park out of the two, and has the steepest plunge, with snow capped hills and snowmen & ski lift
But TL is a classic, the new water coaster is a blast, and every slide is exciting & appeals to all ages...
My vote would be Typhoon Lagoon !!!
Been to both several times & lean towards TL as my fave
But, you can't go wrong with either !!!
Just have a blast
