Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

Our family prefers Typhoon Lagoon. We like the pool there better.

Do they sell adult bevergages at Water parks?

By golly they do! They in fact have the best Mai Tai I've had in years, along with asst. beers, Pina Colada's, Margarita's, Paradise Punch etc.

FYI: If you are purchasing more than one alcoholic beverage at one time, they require the other person to be with you!

I'm going to have to try that Mai Tai. :thumbsup2

I've been to each once.
I prefer Typhoon Lagoon. I liked the shark tank, Crushin' Gusher. The wave pool is much better than the pool at Blizzard Beach, where you just bob up and down up and down. I was never sea sick before in my life, but I started to get queazy and wondered why, and then realized for 20 minutes I had been bobbing up and down up and down!
The family ride at Blizzard Beach is much better, though. The ski lift is fun.
I love water slides, and thought the TL ones were better. The ones at BB where you ride on your belly--water kept going up my nose!
Oh, and I much more enjoyed the ambience at TL--with the surf music going, it created a real fun atmosphere.
Bottom line: I arrived at both at opening. I stayed at TL until closing. BB I was ready to leave 2 hours before closing.

We have yet to go to the waterparks. We are at WDW every year between Christmas and New Years. It is generally pretty cold this time of year and the only waterpark open is Blizzard Beach. Now, we leave Montreal to get away from the snow and Blizzards and it is really not tempting to go to a snowy looking waterpark during cool weather.

I wonder why Disney chooses to refurbish Typhoon Lagoon EVERY YEAR during Christmas time. Would it not make more sense to change the dates of refurbishment from year to year. One year close Blizzard Beach first, then Typhoon Lagoon in January:confused3

I like TL, but my reason is because I want shade, and they seem to have more chairs in the shade :)

BUT regardless of which water park you go to....get the donuts! I miss water park donuts. And really wish they would sell them at DTD so I could just get them whenever I want.

I am not a water park person, but when my family wanted to go, I would go along just to get the donuts :goodvibes

Awesome info given!! I'm really looking forward to checking out TL! I reviewed all of your comments with my friend and her family, they picked TL! I definitely am looking forward to the donuts and swimming with the sharks!!

I agree 100% I go every year in early December. I was only able to get into Typhoon Lagoon the year I went to WDW on my birthday in September.
You would think they would rotate the refurb close times, as I am sure many people go the same time every year, and thus never always are there when the same park is closed.

I love both but if I had to choose it would be Blizzard Beach...I love the whole feel of the park.
