Any input on which water park will be better for my 6YO Daughter?
Let me know-we leave in 2 days!

I have only been to TL but asked this question on another board. Almost everyone said that they would recommend TL over BB. Some reasons being more shade, a better play area for small ones and I think they said a larger wave pool. Have a great time! :flower:

I am going in 20 days and was also split as to go to BB or TL. I have been to TL like 10 years ago. We thought we would try BB with my 8 yr old DS. Is TL really that much better?
P.S. I wish River Country were still open!! I loved it there as a kid and I think DS would have loved it too.

Just got back today.

We have a boy 10 and a girl 7.

Had a great day at TL, arrived at 9.30 and stopped till 6. Very hot, queues no longer than 15 mins and they loved the wave pool.

Went to BB, cloudy and raining slightly, same wait time for slides and only stopped half a day because of rain.

Kids both like BB better because of the under 14 play area.

Do both! We have gone to them both and they are similar but different. Both have the lazy river... They both have the family raft rides but Blizzard Beach has a better one (if you get there right when they open, you can do several rides without waiting very long). The one at Typhoon Lagoon was a very short ride...

They both have a kid's section with smaller slides and spray activities.

Typhone Lagoon has the great wave section, but Blizzard Beach has a wave pool which was fun.

If you can only do one, I admit that my kids picked TL to go back to a third time, while I would have gone back to BB! Guess who won? :guilty: not me!!
Still, lots of fun and I believe that they have more stuff at both water parks now. You will enjoy whichever one you choose.

I have been to both but went to BB with my daughter when she was three. I would recommend BB for a younger child and TL for older because BB had a nice section for the younger kids.

Both my kids 5 and 7 loved Typhoon Lagoon. If your child is a fish like mine they'll likely really love it too. It's a fun alternative to the theme parks

We have been going to TL for over 5 yrs. This year my 6 yr old said he liked BB better because of the Ski Patrol Training Camp (he could do more things without Mom and Dad having to be right by his side) from where I was sitting he could be seen at all times.

My kids love blizzard beach. They think TL is a bit boring. We did go to both the last trip just to try the new gusher water coasters, but we still like bb better.

We just got back and did both. Our children are 6 and 4. I would say BB is better for that age group. A bigger play area for kids and a good section called ski patrol for the 6 to maybe 12 year old. Tikes Peak for the under 4 foot crowd. Our son is taller, but still did many of the things there. At TL, they have a great wave pool. Every minute or so they send off a wave. As strong as a good size ocean wave. Even at 2 1/2 feet section you need to hold them as the wave comes by. It took me and my daughter off our feet several times. Oh, and at BB they have a great ice cream sundae in a small pail with a shovel. It cost $7.50. Well worht it for the price and could easily feed 4 to 6 people. We recommend it. Yum.

Either water park is great for that age. If you choose to go BB ask for a locker in the preteen ski patrol area. Chances are, you'll spend most of your time here. If you get there early enough, there are covered areas with a roof for shade, or if you prefer the sun, there is plenty of chairs for that too. TL has some kiddie slides to the left of the big wave pool.
