We've never been to either one. Which one is the best one?

TIA!

They're both worth doing,if your goal is doing the most thrilling slides then I would do BB,otherwise I would do TL first and leave BB for another day.

BB:bigger more thrilling slides, very good family raft ride, good lazy river but freezing water falls on you in the caves, average wave pool, unique theming but all that fake snow causes glare from the sun,I dislike how all the slides are up the mountain and you get tired of going up the same couple of staircases. They do have the chairlift but it may have a wait and only gives you access to a couple of slides.

TL:more relaing tropical theme, huge wave pool with bobbing wave mode as well as the big surf mode with the huge waves.Slides are good but not amazing, the family raft ride is the worst one,a couple of good tube slides as well as some good somewhat thrilling body slides. They have the Crush n Gusher water coaster which is very good and unique to Fl waterparks.Another unique attraction is the shark reef where you snorkle with small sharks.Good lazy river and a better park layout,in my opinion.

I'm interested in this, too. We will be visiting one or the other in May and have never been to either. We have two kids ages 13 and 10. Thanks!

10 and 13 I would suggest Blizzard Beach.

I love the "preteen" area and the slides are amazing.

That said Typhoon Lagoon is good too - my kids (6. & 8) especially love swimming with the sharks.

Do you have kids? Ages?

It really changes my opinion!

For kids 10 and under I actually think Aquatica the waterpark at Sea World has better kids areas as well as the Roas Rapids fast lazy river that's fun for everyone. If I had to rank Orlando waterparks it would look like this.

Aquatica 8.6
Typhoon Lagoon 8.0
Blizzard Beach 7.6

We have just been thinking about adding Aquatica for us - BUT - they don't allow you to bring any food in. Seriously doesn't work for us.

In the summer we hit the waterparks 3-4 times a week minimum. I need to bring food from home!

We went to both waterparks for the first time last September and we found that even though BB had some good points about it (loved the family raft ride and the Tween area is really cool, at least that is what my kids said), we decided that TL is more our speed. We just love the feel and atmosphere of TL more then BB. TL is so lush and has a tropical feel (what we fell in love with there) rather than the concrete look of BB. We loved TL so much that we decided to go twice on our upcoming trip.

Its a matter of personal opinion. We had never done water parks before so our last trip we did TL and BB. We loved them, we didnt know what to expect and had a blast, They loved both as much as each other as they were very different. Our upcoming trip we have quite a few days for each park.

If you can fit in both, try and do that. If you can only do one, do some research on youtube for them and you will get a feel of the rides and other things available in each park. That might help you decide.

We did both last summer. TL definitely got the nod for us over BB. The snow theme, while well executed, just did nothing for us. But we are northerners and have way too much of the real thing for the fake stuff to be novel or appealing.

The wave pool at BB is quite boring (slow, bobbing waves and not nearly enough tubes to go around) while the wave pool at TL is not to be missed.

You can check out my trip report here:

My girls are 11, 8, and 5…..

My 8 yo has been on youtube watching videos. She is leaning towards BB. I love the tropical theming of TL…….

All I know is I will be playing somewhere else with DD5 when summit plummet happens!!

For those ages i definitely recommend Blizzard Beach.

The wave pool is more mild for the five year old. All three will like the Ski Patrol area - plus the five year old may still be able to use the kiddie area which is very close to the Ski Patrol area.

Plus it has a rocking family ride! With a ski lift up to it.

They each have their strong points. TL for Crushin Gusher, Shark Reef, and the wave pool (which personally, we tired of very quickly, but many love it).

For sheer volume of fun rides, BB wins hands down even if there is really nothin there unique that you couldn't ride in dozens of other water parks in the US. For more detail, see my trip report below.
