We have an upcoming trip planned for this August and recently changed our arrival flight so we will be landing first thing in the morning (flight lands at 8:30 am). We are staying at Pop and were planning on leaving our luggage with bell services so we can head to Blizzard Beach for the day. We have never done a Disney water park before and had a few questions.
1. Since we are not technically check in to the hotel but our tickets begin that day (we have the water park and sports option), would we be able to use our magic bands for charging privileges while at the water park?
2. Are towels provided and if so, is there a charge? ... Really hoping not to have to pack towels
3. Is there a place where we could change into our swimsuits at the water park?
Any other information that might be helpful is very appreciated!!!

I don’t know the ticket answer.

There is a bath house to change and lockers available to rent.

Towels are available to rent. I think there is a $2 per towel charge.

Haven't been to the water parks in a few years so my info is dated, but kdonnel is right about changing facilities and renting towels (at least in the past). You might also consider changing at your hotel if there are facilities to do so near the resort pool; in that case you could pop your street clothes into a bag and leave them with bell services as well or wear them over the swimsuits. As far as check-in goes, if you do online check-in you ARE checked in and should be able to use your tickets that same day. BTW we used to do a water park on arrival day; we typically arrived at the park in early afternoon, took refuge in a gift shop during the daily monsoon, and by the time the rain cleared out in late afternoon we had the place practically to ourselves. Hope you have similar good luck!

I believe as long as you do online check-in and you set your form of payment, then you should be able to use the magic bands for charging before getting into your room.

1) Yes. I would check-in online and make sure you have set up your credit card for charging privileges and have set your PIN code. Just in case, I would probably bring a credit card with you. In general, I never go to a WDW park without a cc and some cash as back up in case the systems go down.

2) Towels are provided free of charge to those staying in a WDW resort. You're at Pop, so they will be free!

3) Yes. BB has a lovely, large restroom, shower and changing facility. They are near the lockers and where you can pick up your towels.

BB is awesome and there are a lot of great snack options there as well!

Towels are free for resort guests.

We've done the exact same thing the past few trips and never had a problem using our MBs from the moment we arrive to use tickets and charge. We did stop at Pop check-in before heading to the park to ensure we wouldn't have any trouble.

Are they free at Blizzard Beach for resort guests? Or do you have to pick some up by the pool at your resort and then take them with you to Blizzard Beach?

I would bring gallon-size Ziploc bags or something like these reusable wet bags: Amazon link. The wet bags are bigger than a gallon-size; I can fit my swim suit and flip flops in one. They're also sturdier than a Ziploc. I also use one inside my park bag to keep my electronics dry on water rides and in the rain.

Yes, they are free at Blizzard Beach. You can pick up towels at the kiosk nearest the locker area. No need to pick up towels at your resort.

I think this is great advice. This is what we did last week. I packed each person a ziplock with a change of clothes. That way, at the end of the day, the could go into the changing area with their ziplock, change their clothes and then put their wet swimsuit in the ziplock. It kept everything organized and dry.
