Blizzard Beach on Saturday Nov.22

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are thinking of hitting BB on Saturday, Nov. 22.

We have to be at the wedding paviillion for pictures around 5 pm so it only leaves a few hours in the morning and early afternoon.

First, is it worth trying to do with only a few hours? How crowded will it be? Will it be warm enough this time of year?

We are staying at Saratoga Springs so how much time should be budget to get from BB back to SS. Trying to figure out if we can do this park with only about 4-5 hours.

We went to BB last Nov but it was EARLY Nov
It was hot enough, but one word of caution
They SAY the pools are all heated, and the kids area was, it felt great
but the wave pools and the lazy river was COLD, so cold my DH wouldn't go in, I did with the kids, I am on vacation, I am going :goodvibes

The crowds were great, no waits

We keep the water in all the slides and pools around 80F (27C) except for Shark Reef which does not have filters, pumps or heaters. What you want is a day that will be bright and sunny and preferably not windy.

If you go on a day that is heavily overcast you will not be able to take advantage of any radiant heating (from the sun) or on a windy day (especially with a dry wind from the North) you will get hit by wind chill.

But a day with the highs in the mid-50s or above which is sunny and calm most people (at least from Northern climates) should be comfortable.

Mid-50's????????? Are you crazy????? LOL! This here mid-westerner (Michigan) wouldn't go in ANY water if the air temp was only in the 50's!!!!:scared1:

We will be in the World tomorrow and the outlook for the next few days is sunny but cool. I am sooooooooooooooo disappointed! Looks like no Blizzard Beach for us! :sad2:

Isn't it 85 degrees today?

If the sun is strong, you can go in the pools midday.

We plan on going to BB on T-giving day. From 10am to 1pm. A few hours is more than enough.

We wear water shoes. It's more comfortable when climbing the stairs. I don't know if you can wear crocs?

I am thinking we are going to have to cancel BB. Unless the weathermen are wrong.

I have heard that you can wear crocs even on the rides as long as they are snug fitting but I may be wrong!

You can certainly enjoy it with 3 - 4 hours. Last Dec it was HOT while we were there and plenty of peole were headed to BB or TL, can't remember which.
We did BB in July, utilized morning EMH but were done by 2 (this was July with some lines), back to the resort then to DTD for a 4:50 BBB appointment.
You really need to see what the forecast will be the day before :confused3 .
Enjoy and if the wedding pav pics are for you, congrats.

We went to BB on Nov 13 and it was great. The weather was still in the lower 80s with overcast skies and the water was terrific. We didn't do the wave pool but the lazy river was warm and comfortable. The slides were perfect and my friend wore her crocs on everything but Snow Stormers and I would imagine the big slides if she went on them.

We only spent five hours at the park and we accomplished plenty. It wasn't too crowded and we would love to go back again someday. If the weather temps cooperate, you might want to go for it!

We went Nov 7-17th, and I would not have gone any day that week. While some days were t-shirt weather, I didn't want to put on shorts at all. Most afternoons and evenings I was wearing a sweatshirt. Since the weather can be one extreme or another, I would just wait until the day of to make your decision. I would hate to spend money and the freeze in a swim suit.

We were at Blizzard Beach on Thursday, November 13th. It was beautiful weather! It was sunny and muggy, just perfect for the water park. I was hesitant to "waste" a few hours of Disney at a water park, but I really enjoyed it. My kids (11 and 8) had more fun at BB than the Hollywood Studios, which they didn't like at all.

I say go for a few hours if weather permits. Like everything else Disney this was the best water park I've ever been to.:santa:

We went on Nov 10th last year, it was a beautiful, hot sunny Florida day
and I am telling you, the wave pool and lazy river was COLD!!!!!!! :scared:
You could totally tell the difference between that area and the kid's area, that water was nice and comfortable
Don't know what was up with that, but me and kiddies still went in and had a blast
