My son loves BB and will want to go there sometime next week when we are there (Dec 31-Jan 7th). Is the water heated or anything? Will it be warm enough for an Ohioian to swim?

Yes the water is heated to 82 degrees. If you are from Ohio outside temps in the 70's will feel very warm.

Awesome! We currently have about 12 inches of snow and more is falling tonight and tomorrow. That warm sunshine and water will feel wonderful!

Yes, the water is heated, and depending on the outside temp, you may have the place to yourself. Many who live up north will go, but the locals will be staying away... BRRRRRRRR!

We'll be there. We're from the uk so anything feels warm to us. I'm waiting to see which is going to be the warmest day. Looking like tues 4th but we'll wait and see!

I'll be going too. I'm from Scotland and if the temps are in the 60's we call it Summer. ;)

The beginning of the day will be quite free of crowds. In the afternoon, there will be a line to use the ski lift. So, I would hit the big slides right away. It is a great time to go. The lazy river tends to be quite chilly though. Everything else is awesome.

We too are going the first week in January. I have been monitoring the weather on accuweather.com and they are predicting the weather to be sunny and in the low to mid-seventies. It changes a little daily as it gets closer (and hopefully more accurate!). I will be looking at it the weekend before we leave to help with packing, but as a Michigander even the 60's would be wonderful!

Oh, yeah! I could live with that. We got about 18 inches of snow yesterday. I can't wait to see the "snow" at blizzard beach. That is MY kind of snow!

PS- Soccer Mom, you'll love POR! so far it is our favorite.

I think the snow theming maked it seem colder than it is! We went in November in previous years and I'd agree with the previous poster about the lazy river ride. It was chilly and they had drips coming down on you that felt like ice water when you were in the tunnel under the mountain.

I'd love to try typhoon lagoon, but it has been in rehab for all of our past trips and will be in rehab during our Jan 2005 trip too. Oh well!

We went a few weeks ago to TL, and it was the coldest day of the week, I think it was in the low 60's and very cloudy that day. It was pretty chilly. But if you stay in the water it is not bad.

We had SO much fun! We were in the lazy river and the lifeguard says " I think you are the ONLY people in the lazy river"....LOL and I said "I know isnt it great!!"
There were about 5 people in that giangantic wave pool and I was the only one in shark reef 3 times around in a row!
HAVE FUN!

I am from Orlando and go to the waterparks once a week or so. I went to Blizzard Beach a couple of weeks ago and it was only 58 degrees outside. The were no lines at all but the water did not feel heated.
