Blizzard Beach closing for refurb?

Based on the MDE web site, it now appears that Blizzard Beach will be closed from October 4 to January 2. However, the travel agent calendar indicates that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed during that period, and up until a couple of days ago the MDE calendar said that both water parks would be open until late October.

Anyone have any idea what the truth is about early October and the water park hours?

Typhoon Lagoon closed Jan 3 - Mar 13.

Blizzard Beach closed Oct 4 - Jan 3.

Typically TL closes in late Oct, BB in early Jan. This year the two WP closings are switched. Three sources list BB as closing October 4th, as opposed to late October (wdwinfo, wdwmagic and touringplans).

We were planning on going to BB on October 6th during our trip...bummer I appreciate this thread though...at least now we can plan for TL.

wdwinfo .com lists Oct 25 for BB closing:

• Blizzard Beach- 10/25/15 - 01/02/16
• Typhoon Lagoon - 01/03/16 - 03/12/16

I just clicked that link, and those are not the dates listed there. They list the same dates that all the other sites do (BB closing 10/4). It says "updated 8/24", so maybe they just fixed it a few minutes ago.

The Dibb picked up on the 4th last week. Major bummer. Still trying to decide if we will use our free fun visit at TL or DQ.

Boo, we love BB and were planning to visit it on Oct 11. I guess we'll go to TL, but I don't like it as much as BB. Thanks to the DIS I can plan accordingly.
