Blisters...

Thank You! Thank you! Thank you!!!
Just went on their website and found a store just down the road from me. Just didn't know where to start...
You're welcome. I had never heard of either of these products until I read about them on these boards two weeks ago. So I was in the same situation trying to find more info about them and some place that sold them.

Hi,
I used Blistershield powder for my feet and it worked like a charm. I
would take about a teaspoon and dump it in my sock and shake it.
Then just put the sock and shoe on as normal. I did not get one
blister. I would highly recomend this product. Good luck

I used to get TONS of blisters but now I only get a few with my Teva Pretty Ruggeds. I usually still need something to protect and cushion those that I do get and I see soooo many people raving about moleskin....does anyone else have problems getting it to stick to their skin? I mean clean, dry skin and the stuff is coming off before I get to the elevator of the hotel!! I guess my skin chemistry is just funky or something. I used to use Compeed pads but then stupid J&J went and bought the company out and the Band-Aid brand of Compeed don't stick as well. Any other suggestions?

I just got back and wanted to report my experience with BodyGlide. I used it liberally on the sides and bottom of all of my toes and on every other part of my feet that usually get blisters. I did not get any blisters and loved how I could still freely wiggle my toes even after hours of walking in 85-degree heat. Usually after a few hours my toes are hot and a bit swollen and all stuck together, but the BodyGlide worked wonders to keep my toes from sticking together.

I wore Thorlo socks every day (another suggestion from some folks on these boards), even on the day I wore Crocs instead of my New Balance walking shoes. The Thorlo socks were great. I bought the Thorlo Level 2 Lite Walking Mini Crew with CoolMax. They have extra cushioning everywhere I needed it: on the bottom, on the top under the laces and at the back of the ankle. They are wonderful and helped keep my feet comfortable with all the walking we did.

I carried pre-cut pieces of moleskin in my park bag just in case but I didn't need to use it at all!

Thanks so much for the "review" for the BodyGlide. I have to go and get me some this week so I can be prepared. I am going to put it on my kids feet too. Don't want any complaining or sore feet...
I have also heard that BodyShield powder is great too. So I may try that too. I will give a "review" when I get home on that one.

18 days to go and counting!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Just wanted to add my .02 about BodyGlide...I went hunting this down based on what I read here on the DIS, and found it at a sporting goods store. I balked a bit at the price ($7.00?, vs. a regular anti-perspirant which I also considered trying on my feet) but in the end decided to try it. It worked VERY well. Every morning I rubbed it all over my feet, toes, heels etc. and didn't reapply it during the day. Didn't get a single blister! I wore regular ankle high socks with Reeboks every day. It was a great investment... ::yes::

Ordered Bodyglide the other day, can't wait to try it! I got blisters the last 2 years in a row. The first time after touring all day in the rain in wet sneaks and last year like an idiot, I put band-aids on the toes that got blisters the previous year and got blisters on the adjoining toes instead, again on the first day! :confused3 So I sufffered both weeks. I sure hope it works!

I only wear Saucony tennis shoes... they are great for wide feet. Also, Dr. Scholl's makes a blister blocker product. Much like a band-aid, but seems to work well.
I also wear the cool max socks, but I like the ultra-thin ones. They don't get bunched up in my hot shoes.
I had a podiatrist recommend putting Vaseline between my toes before putting on my socks. My toes rub each other and cause blisters between the toes.
Haven't had a blister in years at WDW... and I used to get ones the size of golf balls!
