"Bling"..

Yep.. That's what was on in the background.. :)

I guess you don't watch any of the numerous bridal shows on WE - or "Housewives of Orange County".. This particular word/phrase is used non-stop.. I'd actually never heard it until I started watching these shows.. It's also being used in the little girl pageant shows.. "The more "bling", the better"..

I don't think I said that I was "upset".. I said this particular word/phrase annoys me.. There's a difference..
;)

1) Correct, I do not watch those shows. Note: When a bunch of middle-aged women throw around slang terms, they're normally not the most "hip" terms...lol.

2) I wasn't talking to you when I made the comment about someone saying it was rude (notice how I didn't quote you but someone else???). I was agreeing with you, how in the heck did you think I was talking to you???

My 21 year old son informed me some months ago that the term "bling" was officially out, and that "ice" had replaced it!

I barely hear anyone even use the slang "ice" anymore, that itself is about 5 years old. I'm not claiming to be in on all the most recent slang, but both these terms are pretty old. I'm sure there are much more recent ones.

Isn't it funny how some little things can grate on your nerves.
