Blind dates?

I went out on a few blind dates... Keep an open mind, just have fun, don't have any expectations, remember that even if it doesn't turn out to be a romantic connection, you could end up with a new friend! :) Good luck!!

Shugardrawers, what a sweet story. That's definitely a great example of giving someone a chance and getting to really know them. Thank-you so much for sharing that. I shared that story with my sister who not too long ago broke up with her boyfriend whom she was completely crazy about (he was not a good guy and it's a long story) she's been frusturated because she hasn't "clicked" with anyone since. Actually my dad and stepmom met on a blind date as well, yah never know, eh.

Whoa, Breezy Carol! Maybe you and I are twins - I went on a blind date 21 years ago (Feb. of 1983) and we'll be celebrating OUR 20th anniv. this September! Small world......:D

Just want to echo some other posters - make sure you drive your own car so you can yourself home, be sure it's in a public place, lunch is a great idea because the time is limited, not like you'll waste a whole evening.

Go, and have fun! DH was the 3rd guy my friend tried to fix me up with (I had a passing acquaintance with the other 2, so they weren't blind dates). I was in a mood that night, and I did NOT try to impress him, or get him to like me - I decided I was going to be ME, if he didn't like it, tough. And we hit it off. Who'd have thought?

I met my DH on a blind date.

We were set up by a mutual friend, and we all went out together, about 5 or 6 of us.
