Blessed with a Dh who "gets it"

I just have to say how very blessed I am to have a dh who is as Disney obsessed as I. (well, maybe not 100% as much, haha). We're on the same page about Disney vacations, and we'll both do as much as it takes to get us back to Disneyworld once a year. (we've even sucked in the in-laws into our Disney wake, ).
I read on here and hear ppl talking irl about how their sig others don't "get" the Disney appeal either at all or to the extent that they do...and it makes me very appreciative of my family.

Yes, you are blessed! My DH doesn't appreciate Disney like I do. It's kinda like pulling teeth to get him on board for a WDW vacation. But, I am blessed with four WONDERFUL kids who LOVE Disney like I do!

I'm in the same boat. I didn't realize how lucky I was! DH agreed to go to WDW on our honeymoon almost 11 years ago, and he had never been before that. Although we haven't been often, he loves it and is always willing to go.

Your 2 lucky girls! MY DH likes Disney but doesn't see the need to go yearly. My kids are like me and would love to have DVC and go twice a year.

I am another one who is blessed with a DH who loves disney! We went in August this year, and as soon as we got home, he wanted me to price out a package for next year....so we are going back in June 2008, and he is already planning on our trip in 2009 for Christmas!

I am also blessed with a wonderful DH that loves WDW as much as i do!! We go at least once a year (one year he took us 3 x)

Last year, DH even bought us into DVC for my b-day gift.

We've had 2 trips so far in 2007 & one more trip coming up during Christmas week!!
This will total about 25 nights in WDw this year!

We go to WDW once a year for a "family" trip w/ my inlaws (sometimes we make other trips but we always do MNSSHP w/ them)

This year my MIL's friends who have a Marriotte timeshare were coming down so my inlaws rented a getaway villa through them so we would all be at the same hotel... My husband was more than put off. He was like "We always stay on property." This means we'll have to drive to the parks and pay for parking." etc. Of course my inlaws paid for it so who can really complain at that point.

I too am glad to be living w/ a man who would rather spend a few days at disney resort chillin' than another vacation.

AND he trades Disney pins!!! When my son and I started he was like you guys are DORKY but the next day he just had to have a lanyard of his own.

It is definitley something to be thankful for.

I'm definitely one of the lucky ones. DH is almost as Disney obsessed as I am.

In fact, it was his suggestion that we take all of the kids (older ones, married ones, grandchildren) instead of just our younger kids in July and make it a Once in a Lifetime Magical Family Gathering - all expenses paid.

It just made me love him all the more. We are having a ball making all the "secret plans". Can't wait for Christmas Eve to let the cat out of the bag. DH even tears up as much as I do when we talk about the look on their faces that we can't wait to see!

I am a lucky girl too!! My DH is not obsessed but he loves taking me and our DS and DD to WDW a few times a year!!! He is a very busy man and travels all the time but, he always knows when we need to reconnect as a family and books a trip to WDW!!! He turns off his phone and we spend a week lost in the magic!! I love him!!!!!
