I cannot help with POFQ, but when we stayed at POR, we were in the Alligator Bayou section, Bldg 14. Steps to the food court, the main pool area, and the main bus stop. We really enjoyed it.
When my mom and I went in Oct 2002, we stayed at POR and were placed in building 14 in Alligator Bayou. It was the closest building to the food court which is in the same building as the front desk, lounge, general store and Boatwrights. It was just a short walk to the bus stop. We found it to be a great location. I am not sure about POFQ. Here is a link to a map of both POR and POFQ:
I was also wondering about which building to request at POR. We're a family of five who hope to be taking naps every afternoon in between visiting the parks. Two questions:
1. Is building 14 quiet enough for naps? (Love the convenience to everything!)
2. Which buildings are close to everything and are non-smoking?
We stayed in bldg. 27. It looks farther on the map than it is in reality. About 1 minute to the food court, 2-3 minutes to the pool/s and about 4 to the parking lot/bus stop. Very convenient for a family w/ 2 little ones.
We have stayed in the Magnolia Terrace plantation building and found it very nice and close to everything. Short walk to main pool and food court and there is a bus stop in front of building on main road. We had a corner room that fronted the river that wanders around the resort. Very Scenic!
