Bldg Request in HHI

Hi --

First off you guys in these forums are THE BEST !!!

Now, we're heading to HHI for the first time next week, and I was wondering if there is a preference on which bldg to stay in. We have three nights in a studio.

I know the CM can't guarantee anything, but if I knew there was some preferred (or NON-desired) location, I could call ahead and at least make a request. By the way, we have two kids in our family (9 and 6). Thank you all for your help !!!

If you have ever seen a map of the building locations then that will help you. With the ages of your kids, you might what to ask for a pool view. If you were just a couple you may want the lodge, (that would put you close to the bridge to walk to Shelter Cove) and of course, I don't think anyone has ever turned down a marsh view if it is avail.

Really the map makes it look larger than it is. Everything is so close, any room you get will be great. The luck of the draw at HHI will give about 99.5% winners.

My personal favorite is 1131. (1133 w/ the studio to make a 2bd)
You get underground parking, elevator access. (this is nice as we bring lots of groceries and strollers.) and a perfect view of the sunset into the marsh and creek. This would put you further away from the pool than most other rooms.

There are a total of 21 Studios. 16 of these are in the lodge area (buildings 11/12) and will either have an island view or marsh view.

The other five studios are located beneath a GV in bldgs# 16,18,19, 28 and 30. Here is the<a href="http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=226883"> HH resort layout.</a>

I wouldn't worry too much about where your studio is located. The resort is compact and everything is merely a short walk away.

We have 2 families in a 2 bedroom & another in a studio. We have requested to be close together. Where do you think we will be? I don't know if I really want to be in the lodge. Should I request to be where the grand villas are?

If having the 2BR and studio is the most important request, I would recommend that you see what is available when you check in. The CMs at the front desk are usually very helpful in getting you what you want. However, since the resort is relatively small, there are few studios, and the resort is likely to be at or near capacity, the choices may be quite limited. BUT, since the resort is small, no matter where you are, the rooms won't be too far away from each other.
