Hello I am renting points for a stay this June at OKW. I had stayed her years ago - maybe 6 - and loved it. However they did have to switch my room back then b/c the initial room was placed on what rivaled the Indy 500. Louds buses, traffic, etc going all night. Need to avoid this area this summer!

1. We have a rental car so won't be using the bus.

2. I have a knee issue and like to avoid steps. I know the newer buidlings have elevators but not sure if a newer building is a must so long as I have ground floor elsewhere.

3. Definately a refurbished room and from what I think I understand all were redone in 2010? Am I right on this?

4. Party of 3. Studio. DD will be 14, so no strollers or anything to worry about!!:)

The sweet lady I rented from noted on my file close to hospitality house but based on above info would another room/location be better suited for me? Thanks so much.

It sounds as though your primary concern should be a ground floor (or elevator) villa. I would actually make that the first request on the reservation. Since "near" Hospitality House is an actual reservation category you should already know if that was successful. If not, I see no reason to make that a request with the other concerns you have.

I might request ground level in the Turtle Pond area of the resort.

Good luck!

I was thinking along the same lines as Doc, Turtle Pond, since you have a car, and ground floor. We have been fortunate enough to stay in one of the 3 elevator bldgs. once. It was nice but I dont think I would risk not getting it. You may have been in the SouthPointe area before. We have never been there, but I understand it can be loud near the roadway.

On your other post you said you had HH area. So you are limited to Bldg 11-14 and 23-26. 11-14 are right across the parking area at the HH from the HH (to your left as you enter the resort. 23-26 are just over the bridge from the HH in a circle (just before the Peninsular Road bus stop).

DH is a very light sleeper, so we always ask for a quiet area. So far our most successful choices have been buildings 15, 16, 17, and 18. Those buildings are close enough to the HH for even me to walk (I have back issues that really limit my walking ability), yet far enough to avoid bus noise.
