Blasted Southwest Airlines!!!

OK,
So we told our DSs about MNSSHP and they asked if we would take them.
We figured--we already have APs, points left over from DVC, so trip should be "relatively"inexpensive, so we said--sure, let's go.

Booked room, bought tickets to MNSSHP, all set.

THEN, Southwest has to have a last minute price reduction--$39.00 each way from New Orleans. One catch-we have to leave home 2 days earlier and stay one day later.

So, we called, extended our rooms, etc, etc. I am just furious at Southwest for making us extend our stay in the happiest place on earth. I need to find some recourse for this.

You just gotta love Southwest!!!!!

See y'all in October (Drats, now my countdown is wrong)!

Oh that darn Southwest! You should call and complain. They should at least compensate you by paying for your rooms for making you extend your stay by three days!

Well...try and at least enjoy those rotten extra days.

I am a New Orleanian living in Chicago, so all of my family is in the metro area. My nephew is meeting us in Orlando in a few weeks and is flying SWA. We were able to get the $39 one way, but got a $79 fare to go home. We were not able to extend our stay (or his) to find another $39 fare.

same thing happened with us we had to extened out of new orleans for an extra day(39.00 to good to pass up) now southwest is make us spend an extra day at disney on our honeymoon damm them
we have akl booked for 7 day i need to add a day do we move to another or just extend it there?

My husband and daughter are going for a long weekend $49 one way from NH. I received their tickets for MNSSHP yesterday!

I'll be at a quilt show but having as much fun as them.

I'm having the same issues with SW! I'm hoping to bring my 4yo back down to WDW and can get wonderful $116/person inc taxes and fees if we go down a day early and stay a day late. The difference in fares will pay for me to stay at Pop a couple nights (hopefully a moderate the other nights). I don't quite have my DH convinced, though. He knows that I'm a Disney lush and using my 4yo as an excuse to make an extra trip. I'm already bringing my son down in December for my Mom's first WDW trip (at age 81!).

My issue with SWA is those dang RR tickets. I have 3 right now that are burning a hole in my pocket. Going to use the first one next week and hold on to the second one for a Feb. trip #3 is taking me to DL in July!

The same thing happened to us!

We had to extend our trip by two extra days! I'm sure you can imagine how upset I was about this. And, you should have seen my DH! He was beside himself!

I'm sure we'll find SOMETHING to do during those two days while we wait for our flight out of the happiest place on earth!
