Blankets: Is Egyptian cotton really better than combed cotton?

I need to buy a spring/summer blanket and darned if I can figure out which kind to buy! What's good for the warmer weather?

Categories like that have different qualities within them. A blanket wouldn't necessarily be better because it is Egyptian cotton, but rather because it is better quality, and that varies by product.
