We're staying at the poly (leaving in 3 weeks!!!) and am wondering if I should bring an old blanket for the beach. We plan on watching the fireworks in the evening with our two kids (1 and 4) and just thought I'd ask if packing a light blanket is overkill. What have others done-towels, nothing?

At the Poly, the beach adjoins the pool. The sand goes right up to the pool deck. There are lots of chairs at the pool, which you can easily sit in for a great view, and some people move the chairs slightly to be on the beach (moving them back would be a nice consideration to others). A blanket won't hurt to be extra prepared, but we never had any trouble getting a chair the week before Christmas.

I think some people just sat on pool towels too (available at the pool, if the pool is still open when the fireworks start).

I say bring the beach blanket. :thumbsup2

We've seen the fireworks either from our room (lagoon view) or while swimming in the pool. We never seem to make it to see the fireworks 'on' the beach for some reason. :lmao:
