Need some expert advise on future blackout dates (2006) associated with the power pass. Specifically Easter 2006, anyone have an educated guess as to when the blackout dates will be? I realize this year the blackout dates for Easter were the days leading up to Easter. Next year Easter is April 16th. Our school vacation is from 4/14-4/23. Besides the first couple days which I am sure will be blacked out, does anyone think the blackout dates will carry forward throughout that week, ie 4/16-4/22? Does anyone remember what the blackout dates were last year, 2004? Thanks.

Bill

1-800-564-5764 I am sure they can answer all your questions.

If my memory serves me , most of the blackout times were on the weekends in the summer. Possible, christmas, and new years but not sure.

Thanks Kim for the phone number. The blackout dates for April are 4/10-4/15, similar to this year. The week after Easter there are no blackout dates.

That is pretty much what I thought the black out dates would be. One thing we did notice with blackout days, it changed by one day when we got there this year. All the online info said the blackout date started March 21st, we made a point of going to Universal first this trip and specifically set up a full day two park visit on March 19th. When we went in the gates on saturday March 19th..they reminded us our Power Passes would not be good on March 20th-March 26th, so they started blackout dates a whole day earlier than planned. Just wanted you to know in case this happens again, it could vary by a day or so, I guess depends on crowds...

you could pay to upgrade your power passes at Universal for I believe 24 ( i might be wrong about this) dollars. and then it would have no black out dates. This is what I am going to do with my sons. It is cheaper than buying Preferred Annual Passes.

Where did you get the $24 upgrade? That doesn't make sense, or everyone would buy the power pass and then upgrade for $24.

I would recommend getting the Preferred passes over the Power pass mainly for the discounts. You don't get any discounts or free parking with the PP. The $$$ you save in the long run will be much more than the difference in the short run. Plus, you can go whenever you want w/o worrying about blackout dates. Just a thought.
