Blackout dates changing

I know, blackout dates during the current year are not necessarily indicative of blackout dates the following year. However, I just had to vent my frustration about the January 2016 blackout dates. We timed our vacation this year to start on a January 4 with the intention of going January 1-4 next year. We intentionally didn't go in on a January 3 (though we were there, so we could have) because of the planned trip. The blackout calendar for January 2016 wasn't available then, so I just assumed that like every prior January that I've seen, the whole month would be available for the Deluxe AP. I just checked today and saw that both January 1 and 2 are blacked out. I guess we won't be going after all. Nothing I can do about it. Just disappointed is all. :(

This is our first year with Deluxe APs (used to get the So Cal ones before we didn't renew on time--another frustrating change we are not pleased with), so I guess I didn't really notice as much, but it makes sense that the 2 weeks virtually every kid in the United States has off for Winter Break would be block outs. Super frustrating, I know. I was disappointed, too, but it's logical with the crowds that time of year. Nothing any of us can do. :( I wish they'd publish block outs for about 15 months out from whenever you get yours just so you can know better.
