Blackhawks Parade

You mean the folks who can't afford to go to the games? What money?

Perhaps you should sell some of your tickets at a discounted price.

Dismagic1's fast track to becoming a real fan. You could have an infomercial on channel 19. (comcast)

Just curious, what's wrong with being a bandwagon fan? I know someone will say it's not a "real" fan, but so what? It's all for the fun of it anyway, it's just a game.

1. Huge bandwagon fan hater because of where I live. Diehard Hawks fan all my life, used to go to games all the time when I was little (I'm 18) when they sucked and sit in a box or 5 rows from the glass, and suddenly they are amazing. I'd die to go to a game now, even in the 300 level, but my family can't afford it. I've been to three games since in the last three years. But my friend, who doesn't even know the rules of hockey, hardly pays attention to the game, and couldn't tell you who Tony Espisto and Bobby Hull are suddenly is a Hawks fan and went to almost every home playoff game. Her daddy can buy her tickets, even the $500/ticket for the 300 level. Can you say bandwagon? The area around me is very very very affluent, so this is the case for so many. I hate bandwagon fans who know nothing about the sport, have invested no long term time and heart commitment to the team, and haven't been there through it all, the ups and the downs. Sorry rant over...
2. I was at the parade and rally today! So amazing. I don't even think words can describe what an amazing time I had with my younger brother and 2million other people. It was just crazy awesome insane and all of the above. Totally worth waking up at 6, standing on a street for 4 hours, nearly dying in the mob after the parade, getting stuck in Union Station, and almost missing my shift at work. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
3. The train...let's just say, Thank God Chicago didn't get the Olympics. Ughhh...

Oh I grasp it. The problem I have is when the team was bad, and that was very recent, where was everyone? Merchandise didn't sell, nobody went to the game's (you couldn't give tickets away), tv ratings were horrid!! And now they win, and everyone is "I'm the biggest Blackhawks fan in the World, yay 4 me, I'm soooooo cool."

Annoying!

I'm also having a hard time believing that you're a season ticket holder or have any knowledge of the Hawks history.

What TV rating are you talking about that were horrid?

Any fan would know that Bill Wirtz refused to allow Hawks games to be broadcast. :rolleyes1

Season ticket holders pay for the salaries of the players my friend. :thumbsup2

And so do people that purchase their merchandise!

I already answered that question earlier. I don't like bandwagon fans who act like they were a part of the team's success.

What number do you wear?

Oh believe me, I enjoy it tremendously, especially when I was sitting right behind the glass, for Game 5 :thumbsup2

Weren't you right behind the glass for EVERY game for the last 7 years?

Her daddy can buy her tickets, even the $500/ticket for the 300 level..

$500! Dismagic1 said that tickets in the 300 level are only $32!

For the regular season, that person is right. But for the playoffs they were going for $500 and up on StubHub, how my friend got tickets.

Enjoyed your post and glad you enjoyed the parade, hope you didn't knock out any bandwagon fans. I would have. :thumbsup2

i was there at 7:15ish, i was standing at the end, right by the rally so my spot was PERFECT! Soooo worth the wait. What made me made was all the drunks, i bet they didn't even care about the reason for celebration, they were just there to take up space and drink.

I know for a fact all those people were not fans, lots of bandwagoners, one 22 guy was quizing me and these girls who seemed about my age on all the players numbers....i got a 100%.

It was the day of my 18th birthday and the Hawks gave me the ultimate gift. Versteeg put on quite the show with that rap of his.

Kane looked like he was having wayyy to much fun the last few days loL!

I soo wasn't going to comment or waste my time here.. but doesn't anyone find it odd that this so called professional male, who has paid 10k for his season tickets, can spend ALL day while "working" on the Disboards??? then come home from work on a friday night and spend ALL night here again? Then do a repeat today?? ummm very intersting...

I am a bandwagon fan and proud of it! I've been to one hawks game in my life and had a blast! We no longer live in the chicago area, but I am very proud to say I am from the best city in the world! also just wondering if your such a fan , and you've got season tickets, why didn't you get VIP seating for the Parade??

I also think as someone else pointed out, you are a pot stirrer which is fine, that is what usually happens here on the CB. But I more importantly think you are trying really hard to get your little "mouseketeer" status to change to "veteran" so you are taken more serioulsy here on the CB?? just an observation..

We? You're a player? Patrick? Dustin? Is that you?

why yes, WE won the cup, us fans and players, its all of ours. Even the Captin Jonathan Toews said that they wanted to do it for themselves but for the fans as well.

I've already posted earlier that I had to work on Friday. No censorship at my office so I can see/view/post on any website. I'm also in charge of my group at work so if I want to post here, I post here. It's not like I'm running in and out of meetings all day.

As far as for why I'm here now, I'm watching World Cup Soccer.

As for my post count, that only goes up because posters insist on going back and forth with me on this thread. That's great, I enjoy it.

No. The players won the cup, the "fans" get to enjoy it.
