Blackberry -help lol

I have taken out a new mobile phone contract, got a blackberry on a plan that has 500 mins, unltd texts, 500mg data + blackberry.

Help - what does this mean. I know the texts, voice and Internet. What does the blackberry part entail as how much usage can you use?

And on another note what will 500mg get me?

I have a few people sending messages on the bbm, but concerned does it cost me?

Any advice gratefully accepted

I don't have a BB but from what I know about contracts there should be a way either on your phone, or via a log in account with the people you have your account with (3, O2 etc), which lets you know how much of your data you have used and have left for the rest of the month.
If it was me I would check this then spend a bit of time browsing, sending messages etc, then check back and see how much of it has been used.
