Hi. I just booked the Blackbeard's Cay Beach and Stingray Adventure. I know this is a fairly new excursion. I was hoping to get some feedback on this excursion. We will be taking our two children along. DS 3.5 and DD 7.5. DD has always wanted to swim with the stingrays. I hope that this is not a far walk to get to the cataraman as I have read posts that it is a walk to get the ferry for the Blue Lagoon excursion. DD is not a walker.
I would realy appreciate your review if you have gone on this excursion. Thank You-Gail

Oh, lucky you ... I wanted to book this for our 9/2/04 cruise ... it was shown in the excusion booklet we got, but wasn't listed on the booking slip (?)... so I couldn't figure out to book it ... then Frances sent us to Cozumel instead of the Bahamas so we would have missed it anyhow.

Sounds like fun!

Since 9/11, You have to walk down the pier into Nassau and over to the area where they allow shore excursions vessels to park.

The walk is far when its hot but I didn't find it that long.

(Think about as long as the walk to the castle at DW from the entrance)

There is a port building that you must pass through to get to Nassau and back to cruise line docks.

I did see in the afternoon they had courtesy shuttle to take you from that building to your ship. They said it was free but I'm willing to be they hit you up for a tip.

I know the walk is not fun but the pier is alot safer now for pedestrians and security reasons than in the past.

Thanks for the walking information. At least it will not be to hot when we go. We are going on the Magic 1/4/05-1/8/05 for 4 nights. It is a short cruise to get the ship back on it's 7 night schedule after the holidays. We have never been on the Magic and we are looking forward to seeing the ship and the trip. I hope we luck out and have great weather. I read some reviews about this excursion after I posted this and they were not that great. I hope someone post's a good experience on this thread about this trip. Gail
