Blackbeard Replacing Davey Jones on POTC ride

This may be old news as I haven't been around much these last few weeks as my computer was acting up.

I was on the KTTK tour yesterday and on a bullentin board in the utiladoors was a sign "BLACKBEARD is Coming to POTC May 20th" I asked our tour guide about it and he confirmed the Davy Jones effect will be replaced to coincide with the release of the new film

Again, I admit I've been out of the loop here lately, but I truely hadn't heard this before yesterday. Why isn't WDW promoting this more? Or are they and its just been me being oblivious?

I haven't heard anything about this, to be honest. I love how they can update things to coincide with movie updates. It's a nice touch.

This one would be easy to replace, right? I'm thinking of right before the drop, when you're going through the fog/mist? If that's the right one, that's awesome planning on the Imagineers, because with just a swamp of the image and voice track, they can "update" the attraction for each new release!

I would think this is an update to the fog. I love how Disney keeps updating to keep the parks current! Always going forward.

The article says that Davy will be returning later this year. I personally think it would be neat if they randomly alternate the images. I don't think it would be hard to do. Not as hard as maintaining the Lights of Winter anyway.
